Why is steroid abuse swept under the carpet? It is an absolute disgrace.

Why do so many boxers get passes from fanboys for their steroid cheating? It wouldn't happen in cycling. Armstrong was nearly lynched, and rightfully so.:deal

Sometimes one has to facepalm at the blind faith shown by gullible berks masquerading as boxing fans. :-:)barf:patsch:rofl:dead

Some fanboys turn a blind eye and believe only their fav fighter is clean, but the reality is professional sports is littered with peds and has been for years. The "cheaters" are always ahead of the testers. I personally don't have a problem with it because I knw they're all doing it. The only ones who get caught are the ones who are cheap and don't pay for the best program, or the guys who exceed the allowable amount. The nfl has an allowable 4:1 ratio for testosterone, no one is achieving those numbers without steroids. Meaning the nfl allows peds, to an extent. Boxing is the least organized of all sports, money talks, they allow it aswell. And why wouldn't they, the public wants the best.

I think even VADA has a 3:1 ratio for testosterone. That is ridiculous, as they are an outside body and even they allow leeway. There is too much money in boxing to avoid fighters taking PEDs. It should be a level playing field though. Fighters like Calzaghe, Hopkins, and Mayweather have/had the skills to negate the cheats, but not every fighter is blessed with such ability.

Good post El-blanco. Thanks for your input. :deal

That's the thing though 46, even those guys use aswell. The difference is they are better, smarter, fighters. Someone with great athleticism on steroids is an unstoppable force. Talent still counts. So a guy taking peds with tons of talent beats a guy with average, or good, talent on peds any day. I have no problem with it and the results are the same. If everyone was clean, mayweather, hop, wlad, would still be kings because they are just more skilled.

If you're caught with wraps or steroids, you should be banned from the sport forever.

Because all of the former boxers and trainers as well as the contemporary ones know that PED's are as linked to the sport as laced gloves, at this point.

Not an excuse, but that is the reason.

Sure fonzie, if it really was clean. But it's not. Good friend of mine, average to above average player, plays in the NHL. He admits, and is adamant, every player is on something. It's the reality of sports. Why do you think the nfl has been in a "battle" with the union to test for hgh? If no one was on it, wouldn't the union just allow testing? They all do it, the nfl knows it but just acts like they give a **** to keep a positive image. They don't care. Sport leagues want the best product, and that isn't attainable without peds.

Are you suggesting calzaghe, who I can't stand, was doing rails before a fight?
It doesn't increase stamina, it increases your ability to stay awake. If he did a line, unless he ko'd a guy in two rounds, it would be detrimental. Coke wears off very quickly and would make him a sketch bag by round 6. The last thing you want to be doing is boxing on blow, it would be way too intense.
