Not long now fella's Just wanted to make one or two points i ve picked up on wondering if anyone else has seen. Just to clear things up i m a groves fan...i think he will be too much for froch tomorrow. Anyway...i may be the only one but is anybody else picking up on froch's blinking i ve seen it a few times now...it's kind of a bit wierd he's talking away fine and then it's like he blacks out for a split second...it could just be nerves but seen it a few times now. It's worrying me a bit to be honest, carls a warrior no doubt about it, i ve not been his biggest fan throughout his career but win, lose or draw on saturday night he thouroughly deserves his respect. Just hope either way it's his last fight...he's took a pounding through-out his career...one day that will catch up with the man. I dont think it has in terms of his speech...he still appears sharp enough mentally, it's just the blinking and maybe other little odd manerism's i ve seen that i ve never picked up on before. The thing thats worrying me a bit is i m sure gerarld mclellan had problems leading up to the nigel benn fight with blacking out etc...and in the fight if anyone remembers...mclellan was blinking profusely ...when i seen carl do it the other night...it immediately reminded me of mclellan. Just wondering if anyone else has picked up on it. Also one last point...i m not knocking froch or mckracken here...it's hard to knock something thats been so successful over the years. I like mckracken as a man and rate his coaching with the limited amount i ve seen. But i think george mentioned it if you had a yound kid coming through you would never teach them to try to fight like froch... I just find it amazing we have the head amatuer coach that has a fighter that fights like carl does. It's a very caveman like style...i know full well there is skill involved with what he does...but i m just shocked how the amatuer coach could have a fighter that fights like carl does...it's like mayweather senior training someone for years and when the bell goes for the fight they come out and they're a crude slugger.....i m not saying carl is that...just a comparison. May the best man win. I m going George to be too much for carl this time...by stoppage.
That's one of the problems with having an excellent chin and being able to take shots, it catches up with you later on in life. A fighter with a sh1t chin will get put away with a punch or 2 therefore the damage done is minimal, but a guy with a great chin will keep taking the shots and the damage being done accumulates
Froch is entering a world of pain, I hope the ref shows some mercy and stops it before he takes too much damage He loses by humiliating KO inside 5 rounds
Not noticed. What i have noticed though is how Groves always wears a blazer If you look closer, he wears the blazer because he is covering up the fact that he is sweating A LOT sweating a lot = nerves. Now i am 100% sure Froch has got this
Except Carl was the one who had to wipe has hand on his jeans for 5 minutes before he could shake hands
haha can always rely on eastside for sensible discussion lol. true that dayday. Mercury is that true...aye. had never noticed it before but again i ve not been a massive follower of froch seen most of his fights but very little in the way of interviews etc until recently. Just spotted it last night in an interview the one where paddy walks past and touches carl on the shoulder. Froch is talking away then out of nowhere blinks that seems to appear he closes down for a split second, spotted it a good few times as well...but if he's been doing it for years probably nothing to woryry about. Seen it and just thought with hearing mckracken not sounding too confident and seeing the chris eubank spar, their maybe pushing froch into a fight when he's on the way to being damaged goods. Would be hard for all involved not to...with the sheer magnitude of the event and money on offer. Even froch...regardless of what the froch fans are saying looks severely rattled imo and has been from the first fight. He's saying the right things but i dont think even he believes what he's saying half the time. As george says it's like a man on death row. I know that carl has always been a bit more nervous than most...but he looks to me like he knows the writings on the wall but again froch's always been better in the ring than outside it. It wouldn't totally surprise me if he did pull off the win...but cant see past groves...by stoppage. And froch struggling every bit as much as the first time round taking away the stoppage. Either way should be a great fight.
Gerald McClellan was advised to pull out of the Benn fight because Manny Steward was worried by his blinking, he thought it detected possible early brain damage but McClellan overruled him.
Something has been nagging at the back of my mind throughout the build up but now I've spotted it. I swear I caught a glimpse of a forked tongue, not just on Froch, but on Groves and Hearn as well. It's a ****ing Lizard Illuminati conspiracy! I can't believe I didn't notice it before.
Cheers for the info first round ko...the fanboys were starting to make a right mug out of me lol. I knew there was something in it, mcclellan was blinking hard from quite early in the benn fight noticeably so from what i can remember, as soon as i seen froch doing it the other night it reminded me of that fight. As people have said it's something froch has been doing for years so hopefully nothing to overly worry about.
