Apparently if Mitchell wins the IBF will review the situation. He's no longer guaranteed to be mandatory and potentially Vasquez can object to fighting him (whether he would is a different matter - as is whether it would make any difference).

Mitchell's an idiot. Continually let's himself down.

Edited to say if maduma wins he will still become mandatory

    Cheers for that.

Mitchell isn't even particularly big for the weight so have to say I'm surprised by this. Really poor from Kevin it has to be said.

Mitchell says he is 1.4lb over.

This is 1.4lb over the 10lb IBF limit, this morning he weighed 11.4lb more than the weigh in yesterday.

The IBF do this to stop boxers sliming down too much before the weigh in and then trying to bulk up before the fight.

They are letting him fight because Maduma came in under and if he wins tonight he will be the mandatory.

Also, the will still get their money from matchroom if the fight goes ahead.

I quite like Mitchell but he really does himself no favours.

**** sake solaris for a man with so many views on so many subjects surely you should know if you fail the weight which In the case of the IBF (includes day of the fight weigh in) you lose the right to fight for the title or eliminator
    You do disappoint me!

The IBF are quoted as saying they'll review the situation should Mitchell win. No definite statement he won't be mandatory. Although agree it's surely unlikely...unless they want it to happen regardless

Check a few posts above, there's been no definitive decision made by the IBF which is why I asked.

Under no circumstances should Mitchell win will he be made mandatory
I honestly feel Kevinis grossly OVERATED look at the bridge of his nose someone has been bashing him in sparring Burns or Ward and he's going in with someone better than both of them with small gloves on, trouble lay ahead

    WTF is this ****?

Did he not make weight yesterday? Why does it matter how much he's put on since?

It matters because the IBF have different rules, they carry out two weigh ins.
