Froch looked nervous and stressed

I agree with some of the points you have written here,

but mainly this part above. I wouldnt say awful, but think he lets rounds slip by.
It has been frustrating at times, as I like Froch, but he has sometimes just seemed to sit back on fights that he looks like he could easily win. I think he really pushed Ward and could have won, had he jumped on Ward, but he just didnt seem to do it. With Kessler 1, he seemed to look like he hurt Kessler in I think round 5 and then jabbed instead of stepping it up.
With Johnsn he was pushed by a SMW journeyman who was boiled down, yet Bute went on to beat Johnson far clearer before Froch beat Bute.
I think Froch was past his best some years back, around the time of the first Kessler fight, yet has stayed relevant, which is due to his toughness and I think the SMW division not being as strong as it was just under a decade or so ago.
I rate Groves, and placed 2 bets on him first time. One to win by KO and another just to win. This time around I am still picking Groves but not with as much confidence as I wonder how a loss will affect him and if the element of surprise has gone?

Don't under stand why every one thinks Froch has no experience of big fights, picking holes in how he looks on pre fight video's, when he has fought in many world title fights, it will be like fighting in another country for Froch, on Groves home turf,and he will deal with it as usual.

 

Am i the only person on ESB who sees this as a 50/50 seems to me everyone has come up with a clear winner. I'm picking Groves on points but that is just a gut feeling, no outcome would shock me and i don't see how anyone can call a clear winner when theirs so many valid points to suggest either man can win.

 

That's how I feel, if anything I'm edging towards Froch by stoppage, but in truth I really can't pick a winner.

Froch often looks like that. Whatever happens in this fight will have nothing to do with anyone's nerves imo.

 

nah, many fighters if not most are nervous before their bouts but that stops once the fight is on

 

Watching the final countdown on sky now, the interview froch gave after the weigh in was worrying.. He looks scared shitless

 

Froch knows SGG can floor him, George knows Froch couldn't floor him last time, SGG to win easily in round 3 after at least 2 knockdowns.

Deadly serious, SGG will have him down at least twice, in R3 the referee or McCracken saves Froch.

 

To my eye, Groves did look dehydrated and that's never good esp considering all the nerves of the occasion, George's lack of stamina and Froch's relentlessness.

I foresee Groves getting gassed earlier than last time.....but then again we may see a lethargic Froch if the 'over-training' rumours are true.

I'll take the Cobra again to wear Groves down come round 5 onwards.

 

It is a 50/50 for me- if Groves is smart he can outbox Froch for the majority of the rounds. However I suspect it'll be a tear-up and Froch knocks him out in say the 11th.

Groves on Sky earlier was waffling on about being in his own bed last night and not having to worry about air conditioning which was bizarre to say the least.
