Cotto was really tired after the rematch

lol, there's an entire factual science built behind this very concept that every facet of law enforcement uses to great success...now go out there and educate yourself.

 

Hey buddy, you should know that every person is different and people tend to uses bodily expressions in different ways than others. Otherwise your science would be built on the "OH, Ive seen another person use the exact same body movement therefore they must think alike" rubbish.

 

You can't tell what a person is actually thinking but, it's hard to hard hide fear, and that's what ref's and other's are trained to look for. They are looking for the fighter themselves to tell them what to do but not with words as they can lie, as they are best person to assess how much punishment they have taken.

 

Well the only fear your going to get from the Margarito camp was fear that the fight would be stopped. You can see/tell in the way they brushed aside the ref and doctor in between rounds and spoke amongst themselves that they really wanted the extra rounds. They felt Cotto was fading and Margarito and Garcia pleaded and begged to the doctor to let him continue. To deny that Margarito was not starting to have an impact is just hating on the man and not watching the match as a neutral party. I suggest you go and watch the last 3 rounds again. The mans reputation was at stake, he feared the fight would be stopped and he pleaded for sympathy from the ref and doctor to let him have just one more round.

 

You guys talk as if he had Cotto hurt!!!

Cotto stopped moving as much and began wrestling pushing Margarita back while going to the body more.

What significant act did Margarita accomplish in the last round???

Yeah, Cotto was tiring, but he had the fight in the bag score cards wise. He could've been stopped, but judging by the first fight, even if Margarto would've started landing punches and hurting, he probably would have finished the fight in his feet (even though people tend to get stopped even sooner in rematches like that).

 

Actually, I didn't remember which round the fight ended, so I double checked...
With three rounds to go, I think there was enough time left to wonder if Cotto would have made it well into the final round.

Miguel was getting beat up for 5 rounds or so in the first fight before finally having the fight beat out of him. Considering the psychological & historic statistics aspects... know one can be really sure what would've happened, but the stoppage wasn't a bad call, it was just as beneficial for Cotto's career as it was to Margo's health.

 

I can't believe this is even being debated. Margarito is a monster and kept coming forward, chasing cotto, but he was landing nothing of consequence. I'm sure he could have continued but I find it hard to believe anyone can truly believe he was going to ko cotto. When they were in exchanges, or clinching, cotto was muscling him.

 

I understand, but it's not unfair to question if Cotto would hit a wall all of a sudden from exhaustion. He could have hypothetically dominated rounds ten and eleven, and suddenly be unable to stay on his feet in the final round.

I don't think it's fair to assume that's what would've happened, I think Cotto was handling himself well, and trained for this type of fight, so he knew what he was doing, but still, there are multiple possibilities on how the fight could have played out.

In the end, Cotto won the fight fairly, and would have probably gone on to win a decision. But the fight was getting more interesting by the minute :bbb
