They mention it around the 12 minute mark, a little earlier:

Does anyone know where this information first came out. Any articles or interviews where Froch has spoken about it?

It's common knowledge, he openly talks about it.

Hes been seeing it ever since this rematch got made.

Groves mentally f***** him, froch cant cope. Hes been waking up with chills and sweats after having nightmares of groves.

I commend Froch for seeing the sports psychologist.

If you need it and benefit from it then you should do it.

It is a bit of an admission that Groves got to him and is a formidable opponent so I guess Groves proved Carl was wrong in saying George doesn't belong in the ring with him. That 1st fight really brought Froch down a peg or 2, he was getting way too full of himself after the Bute fight.

    Good for him.

One classic example of the often unhelpful thinking structures a psychologist will work on resolving is x = y / x means y type relationships.

For example: seeing a sports psychologist = being mentally weak.

Clearly they aren't the same thing which is why many of the very top level elite athletes openly talk about the benefits of psychologists.

Groves has demonstrated his naivety and lack of experience at top level in targeting that aspect of Frochs preparation.

Froch is clearly mentally weak, and a bit dumb

Psychiatrists are useful, they can prescribe you medicine and ****. psychologists are not. they're just useless blah blah, basically you pay them for telling you crap you already know

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I went to a couple of them when I was a teenager in a moment of depression, biggest waste of time and money in my life, next to watching the Fast and Furious movies. How people don't regret paying $$$ to these ppl is beyond me.

I can see why people with severe mental problems do, though.

I can see that someone who finds psychiatry useful may feel they don't get the mileage they really need from a mere psychologist.

but if Froch were seeing a psychiatrist I doubt he'd have his boxing license
