The UK is the Isle Of Glass Jaws. They are desperate for an Iron chinned Warrior. They don't have one.

Not many people have actually turned against him, most who were his fans are still his fans. Many Brits have never liked Froch to begin with.

The ones who have turned against Froch have done so because he acted like a d#ck before and after the 1st Groves fight and also has appeared arrogant and disrespectful many other times in his career.

Personally I was never a fan of Froch but I never hated him either. I like the fact that he usually provides entertaining fights and even his arrogance is entertaining (but a bit repetitive with the 'I'm a warrior', 'I've had a great career' etc) but I've never really liked his fighting style.

I think comments from Froch are often quoted, by the media, in isolation from the wider context in which they were made. He hasn't done anything to fashion an image to counter those who call him arrogant. But so what, maybe he doesn't care.

I think arrogant attitudes go with the territory when you're a pro fighter. I'll judge his attitude when his careers over and he talks retrospectively with no fight in the pipeline to think about.

As for Groves he's a bit of a twat - but that's inevitable for his genetic type. I think one of the reasons he's endeared himself to many of the general population is that he's actually got quite a profoundly feminine streak in him and the way he communicates in an often subtly emotional style. It's almost like he's the woman in a fight standing up to being bullied by the man.

I personally like it when Froch speaks his mind - unfiltered by concerns for other people's expectations. I hope he wins tonight and I hope Groves cries like a baby.

The stoppage was shitty. That was more the ref's fault than Carl's.

It could be worse, we could have an American hype job called Jeff Lacy fighting in the UK tonight, hyped up as the new Tyson, how he was going to crush Joe, rather like McClellan was supposedly going to smash Benn, until Nigel tore him a new ******* and sent him home in a chair.

Brits were too drunk to notice how Calzaghe slaps open handedly and illegally drags the lacing and taping from his gloves across his opponent's faces to cause those cuts and lacerations.
Not to mention a supposedly ATG boxer whose main highlight opponents are Lacy and Kessler is about as credible as Lucien Bute with main opponents of Magee and Johnson. :yep

If you don't recognise Groves skill as a boxer you really should change your username, the guy has great technique. Although it may be better if you just don't comment on a fight if you have no interest in it, not hard surely?

Don't be blinded by your bias/xenophobia/racism. Kessler is Ward's best win and if numerous professional judges and referee's say Calzaghe punches were legal then they were legal.
