I once gained 14 lbs in two weeks when I was away on training with work, it was basically an all you can eat 3 times a day and they gave you money to spend in the bar so I was drinking 2 or 3 pints during the week and then whatever else on weekends.

I abused my body for that two weeks and I was disgusted with myself (even though I'd do it again).

To gain 11 lbs In one night seems impossible. I don't think I could do that if I tried. He must have been super dehydrated and half starved.

I saw an interview yesterday, maybe an ifilm one, and he was asked what he was gonna do after the weigh-in. All he said was "eat". Obviously wasn't joking

I've defended Kevin in the past, but this is poor. He has a great chance and he does this.

if the opponent agrees to go on with the fight I have no issue with it as a spectator...its easy to get too carried away with red tape in a situation like this....not saying any of these replies are technically wrong.

Really wanted Kevin to win tonight, step up and go on but this is poor, could be such a waste of all that prep etc if the IBF/Vasquez object to his becoming mandatory. Boxing can change at any given time, cruel mistress that she is, who knows if he would get another chance?

Some of you are clueless! 11lbs is not a huge weight to rehydrate after the weigh in. its not like he went and had a curry and couple pints!! bloody hell lol

11lbs is the equivalent of drinking 11 pints without taking a **** or sweating. It's an incredible amount to put on. They must have dried him out in an oven before the first weigh in.

Even dehydrated putting on 11lbs in that amount of time is pretty mental

We've seen fighters like Chavez Jr and Canelo putting on more but they're at bigger weights than Mitchell.

11lbs is a lot to put on overnight, plus Canelo and Chavez Jr weights are right before the fight not the morning of.
