Good call by the ref. He was clearly done. I don't know how quickly Groves got up but letting that go on any further would have been dangerous. For the record I wanted Groves to win but you can't argue with that.

 

Groves was done anyway, it was a classic one punch KO.

I would have given him more time? Knocked out doesn't mean taking a hard shot and breathing for three ****ing seconds before getting up. Knocked out means JMM-MP4. I thought it was a bit early. Had he opened his eyes it would have given the ref a better signal

What does that have to do with the fight? I used to volunteer as an EMT in high school and we'd give people with low blood sugar an oxygen mask even though they didn't need it 90% of the time.

 

Not even three. I counted on the replay. And hence the surprise on Groves' face on waking up. FFS is FOUR seconds that hard to give to a person in a championship match? That's the debate.
