I'll stand up and say I wanted Groves to win and thought he could. Froch proved me wrong. Fair play and a great performance.

I'm a Groves fan & gutted that he lost but well done Carl Froch,no controversy this time & what a right hand!!!

Groves will come again & hopefully I get to see Froch walk through DeGales pitty pat punches & KO him!

Come on lepin you're a good poster don't be harsh, there are actually some posters who aren't trolls that are groves fans. I don't get the hostility? I was 100% rooting for groves but carl pulled a great shot out the bag and was so much better the 2nd time around. I'm not ashamed to come on the forums and say it, probably because I was never abusive or agressive with my predictions/opinions though.

First of all what a boring cagey fight completely the opposite of the first both fighters wary of each other's power and a bit gun shy at times. Froch had a few flurries that were not landing and groves was pot shotting a lot with success but never followed up on his shots.
Groves looked a lot fresher then the last fight and looked comfortable in there but froch was clearly sticking to a gameplan by flicking a constant jab out to distract groves.

Groves wobbled froch with a jab late on and didn't have the finishing instinct.

Then boom.... Who the **** saw that coming ? I'm not seen sure even froch fans saw that coming I don't think froch has ever landed a better shot in his career! Well timed and right on the button. I think that shot would of even knocked out mr iron chin himself.

I was heavily backing groves based on it being a re run of the first fight with groves letting his hands go and landing bombs like last time but froh proved me wrong and stuck to a gameplan, it made for a boring fight but ultimately got him the victory in the end.

I think groves fought the wrong fight tonight and froch deserves the respect for fighting his

Morning numbnuts, remember me ?

My prediction... " Froch will get to him in the second half of the fight "

Your prediction...... Two Shakes doesn't know anything about boxing :rofl

Don't try and justify your pre fight **** talk by trying to suggest Groves didn't turn up.

Fair play to Mr. Froch. A well deserved result. Groves played right into his hands though as we all know Carl can't fight on the back foot and is great at sticking it on opponents as the fight wears on.

I thought Groves would take this. I was wrong. Happy to admit it.

The Calzaghe comparisons are interesting as CV wise there is no comparison. However would anyone genuinely pick the cobra in a h2h? Froch has come out and said he couldn't outpoint Calzaghe and the thing we know about the Welshman is that he never gassed for him to come on strong late so how could Carl beat him?

Also has Froch beaten anyone better than Nard? Hopkins is still unifying titles years later.

Thought Groves myself I thought he was going to attack Carl from the off, Groves seemed to cautious but that could be down to Carl, his distance and timing were spot on, well done to Froch and Rob,
