The thing is, even though I understand the arguments for a early stoppage the fact that he was stumbling in his corner even after sitting on his stool made it seem like it was the right call. But at the same time, maybe he was stumbling from something else. (Just saying for arguments sake). I do think the ref about should have allowed him to get back up. I have seen worse kd situations where the ref is counting, look at Baylis and pacman vs JMM 4. PAC was asleep and Baylis was still counting, same for the Paul Williams KO Vs Martinez 2. I just feel the inconsistency in officiating is in blatant need of fixing up
Plus In a wheelchair if GG needed it, if that failed they should have allowed from to beat on his coffin.
If you don't like Groves, that was a bad stoppage. If he was allowed to continue he would have been really hurt. Even with that china he is packing.
LOL. Some people aren't satisfied until a boxer is seriously hurt or killed in the ring. This definitely doesn't compare to the many Calzaghe early KO stoppages. Groves was not slapped and raked across the face with tape. He was definitely KTFO.
No complaints from Goves and ritz ******* his trainer about the stoppage so any one who suggests it was stopped to early needs a brain transplant....
I just saw the footage a couple of minutes ago and I can't imagine people complaning about the stoppage in this one, other than sour grapes.
Why does nobody understand that you get a 10 second count?!! It doesn't matter if he was out cold for 2 or 3 seconds, he still has 7 seconds left. Ref called the fight off way too soon, held Groves down and made it more awkward for him to get up. Sure groves looked wobbly when he stood up but the ref didnt know his condition he just quickly waved it off before giving a proper assessment. Shame on you Fitch!
Time keeper keeps count while Fitch takes control of the ring. Groves was down 7 seconds without so much as moving towards getting up..... No way he'd have been on his feet and prepared to fight in 3 seconds. Hell, 2 minutes later after having oxygen on his face for a spell, he got up and wobbled and his team had to set him back down.:yep Yeah, Fitch should helped Groves up just so Carl could landed that jaw breaking shot that causes Groves a subdural hematoma and Groves can have the bed next to Mago. Some ****king people.:---(
I'd have given him the 10 count despite him bieng fkced up. Then stopped it after he gets up around 8-9 and bieng out on his feet. I've seen lots of counts where the guy is clearly out cold Pacquiao style but they still shout a 10 count at his body lmao.
