If Froch was to beat Ward and then go to LHW and beat Kovalev/Stevenson/Hopkins (whoever is the titleholder), then he would pass Calzaghe imo.
He won't fight Ward again he knows he would get schooled once again Ward is just a different level as was Calzaghe if you can't see that you don't no **** about boxing. I don't want to sound like i'm hating Froch i don't i respect him big time and he has had a fantastic career but theirs just a clear gap in levels between the Carl Froch's in boxing and the Joe Calzaghe/ Andre Ward level fighters.
:deal Froch undeniably beats a great fighter in his prime in Ward. But since Ward does have a clear win over him, Froch must win 2 out of 3. Hopkins prime is a grey area and I had him clearly winning the first 6 rounds with the knockdown completely schooling Calzaghe, while Calzaghe dominated Hopkins the other half. Shoulda had a rematch.
Obvious anti-Brit bias on here, but Froch is class. Sure not the skills of Ward or Calzaghe but it is remarkable how far a great heart, stamina and chin will take you in this sport. How he got up from that kd against Groves in the first fight i will never know; probably up there with the very best chins all time.
Carls gotten better since the first ward fight.. Imo its be a much closer fight.. This is from someone who wanted froch to win before the fight n tbh ended up wanting to see groves win..
He has A level hearth and will and he box well enough to out-box Kessler and out-jab the faster handed Groves. How is exactly Hamed better than Froch?
