People are quick to write Calzaghe off but there is no doubt this would be a good contest (prime 4 prime) Calzaghe and Froch are both amazing at using their experience. They are clever, adaptable boxers with that sort of hard headed winning mentality. Calzaghe wins decision if he stays smart and boxes. Using his speed and movement. Froch has more chance if he can rough JC up and bring him into a dogfight where his power and bodyshots could have more effect. Interesting match up.
Calzaghe would have used a combination of both boxing and brawling, as he did against Kessler. His endless stamina and workrate would have overwhelmed Froch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWy0o4jIuNg
Calzaghe No disrespect to Froch and it's no complete blowout unworthy of discussing, but at the same time I think Calzaghe is the clear pick...
undecided, its too close to call. the only thing I do know is that Joe ran like a Cowardzaghe from a fight with Carl, so perhaps that tells us something.
yeah carl got an offer for a WORLD TITLE SHOT when he was an unknown unaccolplished nobody with nothing. A typical bid by joe calzaghe to beat an easy opponent and thereupon **** on his world title by offering a no one a world title shot. yet once carl won the commonwealth title, proving he had a pedigree above joes usual subnational opponent, joe was not interested and ran in terror (although to his credit, that once, he did beat Kessler). YET CARL IS NOT COWARDZAGHE< HE BRAVED THE YOUNG COMMONWELATH CHAMP AND BEAT HIM TWICE, ONCE IN NEUTRAL PLACE< ONCE IN HOSTILE CROWD, WHEREAS JOE RAN IN TERROR.
lol sure because out of the two its Froch who hasn't faced the best. LOL . Calzaghe obviously ran from a rematch and a fight with Froch. Understandable though.
It's a miss-match, Joe would have lacyfied Froch, thrashed him! Froch would have looked like a 10 year old pub dartboard!
