Dmitry Chudinov vs. Patrick Nielsen RBR

Round 4

Chudinov is stepping through a mine field of Nielsen right jabs, letting them pelt his forehead willingly as he reaches in with heavy left and right hooks pounding Nielsen along his tattooed midsection. Nielsen reaches in with a counter 1-2 and takes a hook on the orbital bone, quickly attaching himself to Chudinov in a tight clinch.

This is reminding me of a poor man's Golovkin vs. Proksa, actually.

Like Super G, Nielsen was a fast and fancy-looking guy on the way up but got exposed when he ran into a slower and less showy but hard-punching guy with good fundamentals.

 

Round 5

Chudinov is scoring with jabs and hooks on the platinum crew-cut of Nielsen, using them only to draw attention from his more dangerous right hand, always loaded in the chamber just above his own ribcage and ready to fly straight into Nielsen's sea of ink or up on his chin. Both down in a clinch. Nielsen is caught backing into a corner by a high-climbing right cross. Nielsen is spreading his wings around Chudinov like a mother screech protecting her owlet, not wanting to let go.

This has been a clear shutout, getting to where Nielsen would need a few knockdowns.

 

Round 6

Chudinov is jabbing the body and chasing Nielsen along each set of ropes. Chudinov brings the jabs up and tickles Nielsen's face, exploiting his negligent defense and low arms. Nielsen is barely throwing anything while running backwards. Every time Nielsen tries a long right hook a high right hand lead bangs him on the nose or a surprisingly quick (or rather, well-timed) left jab skips over his right arm to blast him between the eyes.
