It is a good thing of course but I do see your point. The strange thing about the sport is that casual fans and even people who clearly know nothing about it like to believe that they are experts. If you try and discuss boxing with them you get bombarded with cliché and paraphrased sentences. Best not to journey down that road with them. But of course the exposure is what boxing needs.
I'm not being funny the atmosphere didn't seem impressive at all to me on the television. Hatton's fights made lastnight sound like a silent movie.
The more events like that at Wembley the better. It was so ridiculous in that super middleweight tournament having fights in America in front of half empty crowds. Pathetic.
It's Miguel Cotto trying to make history by becoming the first Puerto Rican to win titles in 4 different weight classes fighting Argentina's national hero. Of course it resembles a superfight. :boxer
Major super huge sporting events aren't for purists they are for the superficial things It's always been that way
Yes. That's the truth. It's gives the average plebeian something to discuss about on the dinner table.
I was also lucky enough to be at the fight and the group of lads around me WERE hardcore boxing fans! Guess I just got lucky. Great fight and I'm a Froch fan couldn't have had a better night. The drive back to Newcastle was hell today though! :beer
:goodThat's telling the kunt! These boxing snobs make me sick, I suspect he could be a member of a pub quiz team.............SHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH.
Doesn't matter I welcome everyone to the best sport there is. Don't matter which clothes, race, gender or a handicap. If they like to watch two men beat eachother up they are my friends.
