i had him about three rounds down but thought he was coming on strong, he does fall short of world level if he dedicates himself he deserves another crack at it dont think he will win it though
maduma would trouble any lightweight in the world, maduma reminded me of gonzalez who burns had trouble with,i think mitchell gets abit of a hard time on here maybe he pissed a few people off
People want to like him cos he's a likeable guy, but you can't take boxers who don't live the life all that seriously.
That's the past trust me since kev being with Hearn he's training hard and lives the life cos if Hearn ****s him off where does he go from there
Was looking like a very painful nights work for Mitchell until he woke up in 6th. Seemed to have prepared to soak up some serious incoming until he felt Maduma gass out. Terrific turn around and finish.
I had Mitchell losing almost every round, but i never once looked in trouble its was more of a case of him not working hard enough. Perhaps hes was biding his time till Maduma tired. Against a world belt holder in a world title fight you just cannot box with that attitude you have to work for every second of every round. Yes he deserves his chance at a crack at the title but i for one just cannot see him winning one unless he ups his work rate.
You can't win world titles hoping your opponent tires, Kevin I'm sure would tell you he wasn't at his best but eh he won and will move on
Maduma didn't fight at all like Gonzalez, The only similarity was they both more or less shut out the first 6 rounds. It was clear from around round 6 that kevins punches were haveing an effect. Its also normally the case that fighters with that sort of physique tire. It takes a lot of oxygen to pump those muscles. He looked like a mini bodybuilder. Never the best shape for a 12 round fight IMO. We will see with Kevin. History tells us he falls short. Love him to prove me wrong.
Move to where though Billy , Vasquez then retire cause thats all i can see hapening , Also id imagine hes getting holes blew in him day after day in sparring from RB
