I would not be surprised if Golovkin stops Geale in the 1st Round

You're clearly underestimating Geale here

I'd say a fully focused Geale, in his A game and with a great gameplan.. makes it to round 5 at least before getting brutally stopped

dont get me wrong, Geale is a solid mw but he ain't beating GGG, no one is. too good, too beastly

 

I'd say the better Geale is, the quicker he gets stopped because GGG will turn on the heat faster. Thats part of why Macklin got into trouble so fast. GGG respected him and put some back into it.

During the Adama fight, well that went some rounds. Looked a bit like a sparring session much of the time despite Adama getting dropped a lot and on his bike. GGG almost looked like he could have been reading a book with one hand. The fight went more rounds than most. (Plus Adama has a chin and a lot of heart, that helped.)

So if Geale is as bad as MP says, expect it to go into late rounds and Geale runs and moves and slowly gets beaten up. If Geale is actually pretty good, expect GGG to put some real gusto into the fight and Geale to fold early.

Sometimes these things are counter intuitive.

 

That's not gonna happen. Geale is not a punching bag.

 

I actually think Geale is a pretty decent fighter myself. But if he is good enough to really get into it and a fight breaks out... well, it might get real interesting real quick and I dont see Geale winning a firefight.

That said, there is a reason we actually watch the fights.

 

GG's style is wrong for Geale, although he is a top MW for sure, he has little hope of beating GG

 

Whilst it could be over quickly I can't see it. Geale is a world level operator, does deserve to be in the ring with GGG and should be credited for making the fight happen.

 

I wanna see what game plan geale has.. I think it's gonna be sam soliman game plan..

 

After Golovkin knocks Geale out he will fight Soliman ASAP to unify the championships.................Quillin will keep running as fast as he can from Golovkin..............

 

Perhaps, but that would only be because I expect Geale to fight as confidently against Golovkin as any of his recent opponents have.

 

Hell no. Golovkin always takes the time to feel his opponents out - to work out what they are bringing for himself. It's usually about 3 rounds before he really starts to get going.

Of course if an early opportunity presents itself he'll take it, but I wouldn't put your money on an early KO.

GGG is the hot favourite - and should be - but Geale can actually claim the better resume and has fought and beaten world class fighters. He ain't coming to lie down, and I can see a good fight as long as it lasts.

Bear in mind Danny Geale has never been stopped and has only 2 razor thin decision losses on his record - also that GGG ain't superhuman (and I'm a big fan) and is coming off a bereavement to the biggest fight of his career.

Geale might not be the biggest puncher but he can bang if he wants to - witness the Garth Woods fight of February - and he can claim the best skillset of anyone Golovkin has faced to date.

Geale is a genuine top 5 MW, and a tough and proven veteran - the remarkable thing is that so many (myself included) are so certain that Golovkin will stop him at all.

GGG has one shot power in his counters, so there's always the possibility of a flash knockout, but he's more methodical in his own offensive plan. Like a cat, he'll play with his prey first before he takes them apart. Early on, he'll hold back on putting full power behind many of his shots while he figures out which openings to really attack later on.

 

I doubt it. Geale is an experienced former champ. A solid fighter. It will be competitive he last a while.

 

You might not know much about him, but Geale is a crafty, busy and experienced operator.

His biggest flaws are probably his fighting to the level of his opposition, and his lack of real KO power. He is a pretty natural and instinctive boxer, not the methodical and calculated machine that GGG is.

I think GGG has all the potential of a future powerhouse, but with his level of opposition and Geales experience it is the sort of match that will answer a lot of questions for both guys.
