So can we stop pretending its because Ward doesnt want to travel?

Its because Froch doesnt want the fight.

Who the hell wants to see Ward v Froch again. It was a dull fight first time round and it won't be any different the second time round. Add to the fact that Froch will get appreciably less fighting Ward and will have to relinquish all sorts of advantages to Ward, it makes no bloody sense. On a resume aspect it would, but when you're about to retire, only a dumbass would pick Ward over a Chavez or Kessler fight.

Translation: Let's hide behind drawing power to keep Carl from suffering another one sided loss.

Honestly the Ward-Froch fight was kind of boring. It got old watching Ward beat Froch's head like a kettle drum round after round after round, with Froch not being able to do anything about being bullied around the ring like a rag doll by a superior fighter.

Kind of. Deep down I'm sure Froch knows Ward is better than him and would beat him again. On top of that he wouldn't get much money for the drubbing he would receive, so I'm sure he wouldn't fight Ward again. How as a "competitor" and a "true warrior" can Carl live with the fact that Ward manhandled him and beat him up with one hand is beyond me though.

Boxing is a popularity contest now and the days of beating the best in the division are over. Lost generation.

Hearn confirms in this interview Froch wants to avenge the defeat it's Ward who's stopping it from happening with his demands he is in no position to make.

If Ward offered a 65/35 split in Froch's favor and fought at a stadium in the UK that fight would happen. Guaranteed.

Fair or not on the split being that Ward won it's Froch that is selling the event. You seem to fail to grasp that boxing is a business first and foremost.

Ward needs to take a page out of Sergio Martinez book with Miguel Cotto and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr- even though Martinez is a top pound for pound fighter, he understands to make those fights he had to make sacrifices as he is not the main selling point. It's why a fight with Golovkin, Stevenson, Kovalev, Froch, Chavez or whoever won't happen for Ward- he has no box office appeal.

If Martinez said Cotto had to fight at 160, in Argentina and it was a 75/25 split in Sergio's favor- do you think that fight would be happening this sat? :think

true, but also Hearn doesn't want to watch Ward hand Froch's ass to him a second time

It wouldn't happen if Ward offered a 75/25 split have you not figured out by the language of Hearn and Froch they want none of Ward, they get away with not fighting Ward because money wise there are far bigger fights but if Carl Froch believed he had a bad night the last time and could beat Andre Ward his pride and ego would take the fight despite the money, deep down both Froch and Eddie know Andre Ward is a total different level to Froch.

Basically that's why they will cash out as much as they can.

i remember after the bute fight... ward was seated there in england and they talked about how a fight with ward would need to be in wembley

OK, Ward may not be a major draw but Froch is in UK... him fighting the number 1 @ super middle weight who is also p4p #2 will be enough to draw the crowds as Froch will have a "chance" to avenge his defeat... people will buy it and buy tickets knowing it could be froch's last fight too
