He always has the advantage of being the house fighter, too reliant on one punch power, his wife is annoying, and him being bitter about the loss to Rigo/ tweeting insults is a complete ***** move. I like that he agreed to year-round testing but other than that he's a dislikeable fighter.
Don't know how many people around here are familiar with Filipino's but I am very familiar with them. As a people they can come off as very arrogant, I know many people who have a natural dislike of them because of this. Nonito may just be a victim of this attitude toward them. I know that's the case for me, it's weird because I don't dislike Filipino's as individuals but only as a people. I guess that's because I am able to separate judging on a individual basis as I should. When I watch them in groups I can see them looking "down" on others or watch when a non Filipino walks up to a group you could tell they are talking about the person walking up then quickly change to a fake hospitable mood with them, very strange their attitudes in groups, they are not like that individually. If I don't know the Filipino, I don't like them, if I do know them I do like them, weird.
I don't hate him but he's shot to ****. It baffles me why morons go on about Rigo being an elite fighter when his only notable win is over a completely shot Donaire.
Well we as fans get force fed how great some guys are, then when a loss or series of unspectacular performances occur suddenly the excuse and justifications start flying, ala Donaire. Nonito has looked like dog**** ever since Rigo embarrassed him, however there are a million excuses as to why. maybe Donaire just wasn't as good as we were forced to believe. I guess nobody considered that.
Some of these reasons are a bit dumb, you don't like em because of his wife, or because he's confident. The guy always fights the best in his division, most people considered a fight boring if it doesn't end in a KO but you bash him for looking to finish fights? He supposedly hasn't look the same since Rigo but he's moved up in weight and has KO'd almost everyone he's fought since. Maybe I'm speaking with heart but I'd pick Donaire over Rigo in a rematch, Donaire had to force the fight to try and make it entertaining because Rigo don't do nothing but run. I feel like I'm in backwards lands usually the guy who try to make exciting fights is praised and the guy who runs all the time is bashed yet people praise this boring excuse of a fighter.
And what's the excuse for this from donaire's facebook "For the concerned: No I'm not watching Rigo. Why would I give him numbers although from what I heard on twitter, it wouldn't make a difference ‪#‎emptyseats‬ . But just so you Rigolovers dont get butt hurt, dont because I dont watch alot of fights. I only watch ones that interest and inspire me. ‪#‎ontodinner‬" He comes across as a privileged brat, furthermore, he behaves like a butt hurt *** whenever Rigondeaux's name is brought up.
Your not obligated to praise somebody you've fought with its a fight unless your friends noones shakes hands and says good job after a fight. Then when you look at how the fight played out its makes since he doesn't like Rigo. As a whole we have suffered a loss of balls in this generation if this makes people mad.
The ironic part is that Darchinyan was tactless in accepting defeat to Donaire. Donaire said, "I shut him up and in the ring after the fight; he still wouldnt admit I beat him.
It makes people mad when he tweets about a fight that he didn't watch. Does he tweet about every fight that he doesn't watch or just Rigo's? He acts like a sore loser/ butt hurt ***. I don't understand why he's so upset with Rigo, Donaire is still the more marketable fighter and it wasn't a major setback to his career. He's just a brat.
If I recall correctly Rigondeaux stood up in front of nonito for the first 4 or 5 rounds, as a matter of fact he took his heart in the very first round when he hit him right on the mouth and sent him reeling against the ropes, and the only one running for his life was donaire, actually he was lucky we don't have 15 rounds fights anymore because he either had quit like the little b1tch that he is or get ktfo...
when a fighter gets his ass handed to him....then at the end in the interviews states "no excuses....blah,blah,blah..." then goes on to make nothing but excuse after excuse...you kind of lose the publics respect. also, blame arum for shitting on the guy who beat his cash cow. donaire isn't celebrating winning a 5th title with that 'win.' and neither should you.
then there's his fans...donaires fans are full of **** too. calling it a run job shows your complete lack of understanding of the sport of boxing. going by p4p rankings is bull**** too. he wasn't the best at 122...rigondeaux was. so he moves up to 126 to try and prove he's the best there and needs all the help he can get. smh.
year round testing while hiring the guy who says 'if someone fails a test it's because of stupidity' makes him suspect imo. he stops working with the guy...then all of a sudden looks normal.
