    James Toney

    1) TKO prime Michael Nunn. Nunn beat Iran Barkley and Sumbu Kalambay

    2) 1-0-1 vs Mike McCallum - better opponent than anyone on Mayweather's resume

    3) lost to prime Roy Jones - better than anyone Floyd faced

    4) lost 2 fights that could go either way to Montell Griffin - better than anyone Floyd faced outside of Marquez. Gave prime Roy Jones a tough fight in the first fight before Jones ruined his career.

Meanwhile, Floyd lost to Castillo in the first fight and barely got past Maidana - who his uncle said beat no one impressive

    5) Moved up to heavyweight, being a former middleweight. Beat a past prime Holyfield - better than a welterweight Floyd moving up one measly class to beat a past prime Oscar DLH who was 1-3 of his last 4 factoring in the Sturm robbery

    6) Also beat John Ruiz, drew with Hasim Rahman, 2 disputed decisions with the bum C-class Sam Peter (who was able to trouble the bum Klitscko with 3 knockdowns) - this is a middleweight fighting weak heavyweights as opposed to a welterweight fighting weak jr middleweights

    Floyd BUMweather

    1) Corrales - somehow was ranked ahead of Hopkins and Lennox Lewis, and right behind Roy Jones. people think he was amazing, but not true. Crushed by journeyman Clottey, life and death with Castillo, and a disputed decision to avenge a loss to Casamayor. never beat one elite fighter EVER

    2) Castillo - never beat ONE elite fighter EVER and still beat the bum Mayweather. Clearly Castillo is no Roy Jones Jr

    3) Ortiz, Guerrero, Baldomir, Judah - all bums and paper champions. If there was one title per class none of these bums would come close to holding it. Judah was the so-called "undisputed champion" but who did he beat for that title?

    4) Genaro Hernandez - average fighter, only win is against a past prime Azumah

    5) Gatti - Mayweather repeatedly stated that Gatti was a C-class fighter

    6) Oscar - when Toney was moving up to heavyweight to beat past prime Holyfield, Floyd decided to fight Oscar (who lost or was gifted 99% of the big fights in his career) who had not legitimately won a fight in 3 of his last 4

    7) Marquez - floyd made this guy come up 2 classes to fight him instead of being a man like Toney who moved up to fight much bigger men. Instead of making Marquez move up to fight him, Roy Jones was the guy who moved up to fight Toney

    8. Hatton - never beat one elite fighter. Tzyus name is off of Zab Judah who lost every big fight he was in. Undefeated Montell Griffin or Ricky Hatton? Not a tough choice. Hatton is nobody

    9) Maidana - Roger Maywather - never beat one impressive fighter

    10) 40 yr old Shane Mosley is not as impressive as a washed up Holyfield when you're a natural middleweight

    11) Cotto - washed up, past prime, beaten down by plaster Margarito. good win, but not better than McCallum or Nunn

Toney has by far the better resume

Highest paid athlete in the world and not slurring my speech while being undefeated? I'd much rather have Floyd's career

what does money have to do with anything? i guess you think Tyson is better than Ali then

Toney went from 160 to heavyweight

If Mayweather moved up to from 130 to 175 i guarantee he'd slur his speech if he ran into Hopkins, prime Sergio, Kovalev, Adonis, Dawson.

can't blame you though. you would want to fight bums your whole career for a lot of money. but that doesnt make a better resume

Depends on what your criteria is. If you mean better career as in their job, then who do you think most people would want their career to be?

Who has the better resume? Well Toney has better names on there. And they both fought in 5 division, don't try to manipulate it

    Mayweather clearly.

Toney for all his ability didn't make the best of his career. His career fell off a cliff after his loss to Jones Jr. Losses to Griffin and Thadzi, went from being the number 1 P4P fighter to an after thought.

Then the mini revival only for it to be tarnished by being caught taking steroids, that puts a big question mark over everything he did at heavyweight and even possibly what he did at cruiser.

Toney had some incredible highs but some terrible lows during his career. In terms of greatness he is behind his peers in Jones Jr and Hopkins.

Toney. Mayweather has spent too many years cherrypicking easy opponents.

    Well Mayweather isn't 46-0, he's 44-1-1.
The names on Toney's resume are astounding.
So what he lost to GOAT Jones Jr?
The problems with Toney is that he was a roider.

He did lose to a few shitter opponents which wasn't really about his abilities but rather his lack of dedication.

    Mayweather is a cherrypicker.

Mayweather had the better career.Much better longevity. He was pound for pound number one for many years.James only for two years.

Toney may have the better resume though.Especially, His heavyweight campaign as a 160 pounder has to rank as a high accomplishment.

    Overall, Floyd probably ranks higher.

Toney is a TWO time convicted Steroid cheat. Mayweather's career shits on his in every single way.

James was 10-4-1 (2NC) as a Heavyweight with two steroid convictions. His best win was old shot Holyfield or Fres Oquendo. He fought mostly bums at Heavyweight. Couldn't beat Peter or Rahman who were very average. His Heavyweight career was very mediocre.

Toney could bring it. Very entertaining fighter. Always looked forward to a Toney fight.

Hands down Toney, from my perspective.
