Rick Glaser (the guy who broke the whole Oscar-Schaffer fued) is now saying Schaeffer's going to be hit with monster lawsuit. As CEO he allowed fighter contracts to run out and never attempted to sign fighters exclusively alligned with Haymon.

It's almost ******ed to hear Bernard Hopkins swear up & down how awesome Schaeffer is and then he complains how his GB stock has had sh*tty return...

this is nothing new and oscar knew the deal up front. he's just using it as a reason to justify giving power back to bob. oscar is confused and doesn't have a clue. he's irrational. gbp is coming off of its two best years. what more proof does he need? he's listening to all the wrong ppl.

so what the fighters aren't signed to gbp. who says they have to be? they have an understanding with al haymons guys... and have been working with them and showtime strictly. what's haymon going to do with his fighters? go to bob and try to get them a better deal? oscar is just plain stupid.

Fiduciary responsibility. He's going to have to defend why he chose not to force Haymon fighters into deals with his company when he did other fighters. As CEO he was given a position of resources and connections. If the lawyers show he colluded with Haymon to keep business outside of the company, which would've benifited the company but now hurt the company, he would be found liable.

 

Arent Schafers guys still contracted fully or partially to GBP. Can they really just walk away from those agreements?

It would be dumb for him to do so and to use his name on a company.
Much better for him to use a generic name like Elite Rank or Next Level Promotions.
Schaefer is a great businessman, but the success for any new boxing ventures in which he may be involved will not center around him as much as he and the boxing savoury partners like Haymon, Hopkins and Mayweather that he has involved in the new endeavor.

they had 2 record breaking years. it's going to be impossible to prove he colluded with haymon. while oscar was snorting cocaine and dressing in womens lingerie...schaeffer was doing all the work making gbp the best promoters in boxing.

if it ain't broke...don't fix it. signing all of those fighters would have actually bogged gbp down. haymons way of doing business is actually better for boxing. when you have big stars signed to a promotional company or network...they are obligated to make sure that star succeeds. then we get fights like pac/jmm 1,2,3,4 and pac/bradley 1,2...etc. their model was producing great matches and kept things rolling. oscar is too dumb and played right into kathy duvas hands with that bull**** lawsuit. if i was haymon and schaeffer...i'd be suing her for slander.

 

the sad part as that u *******s actually think this is good for boxing when it's not. it won't improve bobs status. there aren't any fights to be made with gbp and toprank. bob will still suck. gbp will sink to his level....and haymon/schaeffer and showtime will move on. oscar is too stupid to run his own company...and like bhop said, he cannot be replaced.
