Recently, I've been questioning Floyd's leadership.

You're 20, get used to being disappointed by people. It's part of life. Friends, lovers, politicians, the religious, the non-religious, athletes, celebrities and even your dog will let you down. That's life.

Take comfort in the fact that you too are probably disappointing someone as we speak.

who cares what he says, floyd is a real guy. stop being a 20 yr old baby.
and him just being black shouldn't automatically make him a role model.

There is a simple solution to your problem, stop all this ride till I die bull****. I hear this all the time with die hard *****s (michigan warrior etc).
Just because floyd is a great boxer you will look up to him for everything or defend all the other stupid thing he does.

Everybody has their own faults, even the ones we look up to. Choose only the good traits we can get from them and throw all other **** in the trash. Otherwise there will be no improvement of the race, when I say race not talking about black or white etc.

I hear what you are saying about Floyd, but it shouldn't trouble you as A BLACK MAN. It should trouble you as a person. I share the sentiments of what KillSomething said above. I have NEVER understood the mindset within the black community in regard to "their leadership." Be a person. Be an individual. Disregard color. Think for yourself. Don't look up to or rely on another person because they are black, since you are black. Be drawn to people with great ideas, who want to change the world for the better, or just make the world a better place by running a good business that can employ people in your community.

Once you can embrace those thoughts you won't concern yourself with what a boxer, black or white, is thinking on a given day. You will be thinking for yourself.

Floyd is a boxer pure and simple and that is what he should be admired for. If you are looking to him for moral leadership or direction, you are in trouble.

Floyd has made several controversial racist comments himself. It makes perfect sense he would associate with other racists. You may wish to turn to somebody who's more classy and intelligent than Floyd for leadership...like James Toney.

Lol, Floyd please show us the way. You've always shown us how to be a great role model, except now when you don't berate Mr. Biebers racist joke. I mean I remember the time you beat up the mother of your children, and went to prison. Or how about when you're throwing money away "making it rain"? Or when you went on Ustream and went on a racist tirade against Pacquiao. What happened to that great role model?

There's a difference between condemning and defending. I borderline regret posting this thread, because people pretend they can't read. My problem wasn't that I wanted or expected Floyd to condemn them, I just don't agree with him defending them.
