Well it is well in line with quillan sitting on the belt. Vera is not championship caliber and has lost his last two fights. There are plenty of better opponents
Not a terrible fight. Vera has come on a lot in the past few years, 2 wins over Mora, arguably a win over Chavez. Nothing to get excited about though
Vera wins. Quillin is just not a world class fighter. Neither is Vera, but i think he's ballsier than Quillin. Not a bad fight though, as long as it's on an undercard.
Another opponent who doesn't deserve a fight for the title, seriously stick someone who does in with Quillin and end this shocking title reign.
No chance Quillin fights and iron chinned fighter. He's a boxer puncher with a glass jaw. He's got to be able to get the KO to win or be able to move without being clocked. Vera, while not as good a boxer as Rosado, has a much sturdier beard and will be able to take shots to get inside. I doubt Quillin has more power than a 195 lb JCCJr.....so I see this one ending about the 5th rd..... This will greatly raise JCCJr's stock. Vera KO5.:thumbsup
Not a bad fight and I think Vera has a shot at an upset here, though I'd pick Quillen. Even though this is an ok fight its still past time for Quillen to face another top middleweight. He has a title and is rated as a top 3-5 middleweight by most and this will be the 4th straight fight against a guy not rated in the top 10(if it happens). Somewhere along the line(post HNN) you'd figure Quillen would face another top rated middleweight but I guess he's in no rush too.
