Why?
Cotto, Like Martinez is close to retiring. They are both proven so why do they need to be asked about an unproven nobody like GGG?

What Max should ask GGG is about Sam Soliman who called him out right after he beat Sturm, or about Ward he has almost begged GGG to fight him.

 

Of course he will. Sergio already stated last year that he would fight GGG, but not yet. I think that means he will fight him when it's time to ride off into the sunset. Tomorrow night will be that deciding factor whether it happens next, or possibly after another big money fight against Canelo.

 

Will never fight Golovkin...even His Trainer knows He cant win it...will retire before he steps into the ring with GGG.!!!

All the talk about Cotto-Martinez is whether Martinez is going to be healthy enough to fight off a small shop worn JMW who's really a welter. How do you sell Martinez-Golovkin based on that. Half the media hype have you believing it's a miracle Sergio can even walk.

Personally I haven't bought into Sergio's health being as poor as they claim, I've seen MMA fighters with similar injuries that continue their career at a top level for years after. I think Sergio would take Golovkin if he'd be ensured of a major payday for it.

 

I'll just assume you're joking. The top contender deserves a shot at the lineal title. That's one of the biggest appeals of boxing. Fans need to quit making excuses for their favorite (or even most despised) fighters!

As a bonus feature, Ring also ranks Geale as the #2 at middleweight. Nobody thinks the #2 contender can actually beat this man you lable a "nobody", not even you. Therefor, its safe to assume this "nobody" is actually a "somebody". wned

Also, if GGG must prove himself by going up a weightclass and fighting the #1 guy, then what does that make Carl Froch? He lost to the man you mentioned by a landslide, and Carl fights in that division. atsch

According to your logic, Froch is an unproven nobody untill he proves himself against the #1 guy a weight class higher. So Froch is then a "Nobody" untill he defeats Stevenson or Kovalev.:rofl:rofl
