Catchweights are a joke whether they come from Manny, Floyd or Cotto tonight. I am a hugh Cotto fan but he isn't the MW champion if he wins tonight you can't win a world title at a catchweight if the MW limit is 160 that's what you fight at for the title 159 might only be a pound but that doesn't change the fact your not a champion unless you win the belt at 160. Same with Pacquiao's team trying to drain Canelo to ****, Floyd doing it to Canelo again another joke he also did it with JMM. Seems to me all the big star guys try take very unfair advantages Canelo changing the weight on Angulo another example it's a joke at this stage.

He was fine at 152, thats why he offered that weight to Floyd. Floyd was just too good.

Folks are killing me with Floyd draining Canelo. Canelo suggested Floyd at a catch weight to get the fight, so Floyd agreed. On fight night look at both fighters, Canelo was clearly not drained at all. He looked bigger because he was bigger then Floyd. So stop the BS. Unlike De la Hoya when he fought Pac. Oscar body looked crazy that night, although taller then Pac. He looked like the smaller guy from a body mass perspective.

Canelo will be moving up to middleweight after Lara . W/L/D .

Whether hes likes it or not , its going to happen . His heavy body just cant take it anymore .

If Floyd was so good, why did he insist on 152 ?

And why the fukc would the sanctioning bodies stand for a 154 defence where the champ demands a lower catchweight ?

Fact: He asked for it, and they negotiated 152.

How can you even deny it? :patsch

Fact: Floyd completely tooled him and would have done the same at any weight!!! :hi::hi:

The question is why didn't Trout school him at 153, surely Canelo was drained, right?

That is a very good question.

Is it possible that the difference of 1 pound meant life and death?

Who cares who suggested the catchweight? Fact is, it wasn't Canelo's comfort zone. He wasn't drained, but he definitely wasn't as strong. And this is coming from a Floyd fan. The catchweight benefited Floyd. He wouldn't be fighting someone 170+ on fight night and Canelo loses some muscle mass.

When fighters make weight they dehydrate themselves 10+/- lbs to reach the limit. If Canelo was already pushing his limit at 154, 152 made him lose muscle. He wasn't drained, but he wasn't 100% either.
