Agreed. Very happy to see him got 10 rounds. Should be matched with durable, yet beatable opposition for a while before trying it at world level again. a year or so more while staying busy in the ring against high level journeymen and european level heavyweights wouldn't hurt.

Had no idea Price was fighting tonight. Glad he managed to get some rounds in for a change, will do him more good than banging out his opponent in 3 rounds.

Gives him a chance to showcase his improved jab and defense. I'd like to see him get at least 30-40 rounds before trying his luck out at world level again. There's a whole plethora of Eurolevels that would do the job. Personally i'd like to see him in with Airich next. When he's on, he can give some of the best a good and even make it to the cards. Has shown some vulnerabilities to the body, but I don't think Price would take him out that way.

I agree. We all know Price can bang, he doesn't have to prove that. The focus now should be on building his stamina and ensuring he can outpoint his opponent.

I don't think Airich is the right opponent though. His durability isn't good enough, unless Price deliberately holds back in order to go the distance he'd bang him out quickly.

Personally, I'd throw him in with Oliver McCall. His jaw is pure iron, it's a guaranteed 12 rounder and a good way to build on Price's stamina. Also, Tarver would be a good choice of opponent. Another boxer with a solid jaw who will take Price the distance. In fact, he's still a half-decent boxer so would actually be a better choice than McCall since he'd put up more of a fight. Thompson aside, Tarver would be Price's biggest challenge to date.

i dont know how badly shot these fighters are, but id like to see price against someone quicker and smaller like tarver, he will be fighting alot of them on his way to the top.

I've never understood the hype about David Price, even before the Thompson fight. He has poor skills, no stamina, no chin.

I think it's more to do with him being a 'likeable lad' and people wanting to believe in him, rather than him showing himself to be something special. He's never going to achieve anything. Basically he's the white Audley Harrison.:!::tired
