Canelo only 'wanted' 150 in the sense that he'd be willing to do it if it helped get the fight/payday. He' obviously would prefer 154 to 52 or 50.

Except Cotto has said multiple times post fight that the weight wasnt a problem. Canelo claimed he was drained. Big difference.

People dog on Pacquiao and Mayweather for their catch weights and they're legitimate points to raise, but if you want to talk about Pacquiao/Mayweather's CW we can't ignore the many fighters through history that have used CW, often much worse than Pacquiao/Mayweather's.

Leonard took a light heavyweight title from Lalonde at 168…. 168!

How about th one in the OP:

"Those days are over. That's the first thing I learnt from my fight with Mayweather, I won't be fighting out of my weight division again, if Pacquiao wants the fight he'll have to move up to superwelter-"

Fight would of been huge, but hell no. A bunch of ***s here saying "Oh, it's only a pound and Canelo would o f lost anyways, etc etc" blah blah blah In that case if the pound didn't matter so much why didn't Mayweather just gain the 2 or 3 pounds or lose them against Marquez? Because it does matter. Mayweather wouldn't be paying thousands for not making the weight.

Floyd made him uncomfortable, he couldn't keep up with Floyd's pace.

He wasn't comfortable in the fight but he was comfortable b4 the fight. He was very very well conditioned, very comfortable.

The difference is no one is talking about bloating up a fighter. All we hear is draining. It works both ways. What about Pac attempting to bloat by having to eat 7,000 calories a day just to be competitive? He's not even a welterweight today. He said he can make 140 easy.
