I see you've got Hopkins down as a favourite of yours. Good man. It's nice to see some people not blinded by bias. I imagine a massive percentage of the people who voted Hopkins did so because they thought he would win. I can only assume they are trying to save face, because I can not see how B-Hop won that one.
You don't win in boxing by landing sporadic crisp right hands here and there unless you knock the guy out. Fights are scored by rounds and Calzaghe won more rounds with consistent punches and aggression. His punches weren't too damaging for the most part and a lot of them missed but he scored more and won the rounds to win the fight. You can't give rounds to Hopkins where he does very little and might land one good punch, while getting hit a lot more, even if the punches are slaps that don't hurt hopkins.
Calzaghe won but this is a terrible post and you have proved yourself to be an idiot. Horrible post, idiot.
The usual post fight nonsense... I'll beat these ****s at their own game. If you want to make a detailed analysis, I'll beat you at yours too.
Calzaghe didn't impress me at all.. my heart tells me to give it to Hopkins, but I'll say Calzaghe took it.
Joe Calzaghe won, but somehow his punches were not landing cleanly. I was waiting to see JC land a clean power punch that would daze BH, but somehow that didn't happen. Joe Calzaghe still threw and landed more punches than Bernard Hopkins which was ultimately the difference in the score card. Good fight.
If Hopkins was the same age as Calzaghe he would have won this fight, but you can't say that Hopkins won more rounds tonight. Calzaghe won the fight, though I think Hopkins is (was) the superior fighter.
Clean punching - Hopkins Effective aggresion - Calzaghe Ring generalship - Calzaghe Defense - Calzaghe Punches thrown - Calzaghe Punches landed - Calzaghe Punch accuracy - Calzaghe
