Great win for Cotto, it was pretty clear Martinez was there for the taking though. I'm sure GGG would got a victory too.

Martinez was lucky that he didn't fight GGG because it would have ended after the first round.

I picked Martinez by decision tonight, but please, ever since the Chavez fight Golovkin would've destroyed Martinez.

martinez is done. that knee was gone from the very first round. 50/50 combination of cottos left hook and the knee. Cotto did his job. GGG will **** him tho. Vacate the belt and go back to 154 to fight cantnelo for another money fight.

Yeah. Geale is a stronger opponent than that version of Martinez. I feel bad for Sergio. I hate that his retirement party went like that. He had no business being in the ring with those legs. It was a retirement party payday, that's all.

What's also sad is that GGG will never get a shot at the lineal title. Cotto will fight Mayweather or Canelo next and of either of those guys win, they won't fight GGG either, and Cotto won't either should he keep the tittle. So the heir apparent of the MW division is shut out for the foreseeable future. He might as well go to 168 permanently and see of anyone has any balls up there. I believe they do.

P.S. I will say that Roach did wonders with Cotto and he looked great!

Kewl beanz, let's hope Cotto maintains the honor he's always shown and gives his #1 contender at Middleweight a crack at the belt. :deal
