In 35 yrs of watching boxing, never been this shocked by an outcome ever!

I'm more shocked when Floyd said his health come first if he was to fight Pacquiao.

 

Just reading the result, it would be shocking. If you actually watch the fight though, it was very clear that Sergio is completely done from the beginning.

 

Martinez' knees looks bad from the first round on. He knew his knees were gone................Pac stopped Cotto, made him a bloody mess...............

 

Martinez has never shown himself to be a level above Cotto. I always thought Cotto was more skilled, but size and style favoured Martinez, but I saw it a close fight.

Pac-ODLH was a lot more shocking in recent times. ODLH was coming off a SD with Floyd and UD Forbes, and Pac jumping 3 weight divisions in a year, and to dominate like that? Only PacdBest saw that coming.

People talking about his knee problems like that was the problem but in reality it was his lack of real boxing skills that was his undoing. When he thought that he had hurt Cotto he moved like the wind for the cu de gra. Everybody saw that, didn't they, and Cotto promptly slipped that ****.

sounds like the thread starter is nothing more than a sergio nut hugger...either that or he is from argentina, lol....

seriously in sergios last fight you could see he was past it...and then th lay off and surgery...it was a no brainer, before the fight i gave the fight to cotto in 3 rounds or less... i was very shocked it lasted this long...

i think the thread starter needs to get out more and watch better boxing

 

despite Sergio clearly slipping lately, I'm guessing 99% of us watching the fight were like this after the 1st round ended

serg moves around a lot and is evasive. with a ****ed up knee i gave him little on winning this fight.
if this was before the chavez fight, serg kills cotto

 

ofc they Means something,but honestly....cotto have fought mayweather(lost)after giving him a tough fight,beat mosley,margarito,lost to pac,wins over Zab Judah,mallinaggi,cotto has simply fought better fighters!!! and he is a natural 142 pounder going up to middelweigt to blow Martinez out!!! the last funny quote Maravilla said was: i can never look myself in the mirror should i Loose to Cotto....disrespectful as usual...but he is such a clever fighter,but that dont Work if you have no respect for your opponent,with a killing lefthook...i was sure this was the outcome of this fight.because i know what Cotto can do,when he is 100%...sadly for SERGIO and you the fight took place last night...and you boy was stopped!!!
