so cotto beat up an old crippled tin man on stilts, he might as well have been in there with oscar prestorius and hbo is trying to get us to believe that cotto is some reincarnated sugar ray leonard. they are just over hyping him to sell us and legitimize a mega fight cherry pick for mayweather, golovkin or canelo all 3 of which will blow away cotto by the way with the exception of mayweather which might actually be competitive at this point in their careers. boxing is becoming the WWE with carefully matched pre determined scenarios that protect and pad the favored fighters records in order to sell, sell, sell. martinez had to have known that his knees were shot, he took this fight to secure a final payday and to help the powers that be push their evil agenda....SMOKE AND MIRRORS!!! SMH!!!!

cotto beat up captain hook, peg leg pirate martinez and we're supposed to believe he is some kind of beast? that's like a used car salesman racing a minivan against a golf cart and telling u the minivan is a race car.

Cotto-Alvarez or Cotto-GGG would be massive fights. Don't see why its a problem, I would definitely want to see those fights.

Looks as if Golovkin/Cotto fight might be in the works, but have to wait to find out. Right now Golovkin will fight Geale, they are also in talks with Soliman for title unification, but Golovkin would prefer to fight Cotto ASAP............

they would be fun to watch because cotto would be brutally knocked out, but i don't think they would be competitive, they would be fights set up to pad the cash cows records. i would rather see ggg vs alvarez or maidana vs mattyhsse or thurman or any combination thereof, stevenson vs kovalev even chavez jr vs ggg or froch or any combination therof etc etc canelo vs lara should be interesting and competitive and will establish credibility regardless of the outcome as would any of the other fights i mentioned. tonights fight was smoke and mirrors and did not prove anything except that martinez should retire and have knee replacement surgery!!

golovkin would destroy cotto or be exposed as a complete hypejob if he cannot beat the guy that got schooled by trout. golovkin vs geale or soliman would be decent tests for ggg, but i would love to see ggg vs canelo given canelo can have an impressive win over lara.

You know what, I believed that even a Sergio at 70 percent would still beat Cotto! I am as schocked as anyone but Cotto has to get some credit here and I don't know if its the Roach affect or what but Cotto had something to do with this victory lets not take that away

yes sergio at 70 percent probably would have beat cotto, problem is martinez was closer to 50 percent.

can't give cotto credit for beating up on a peg leg martinez. half the knockdowns were slips. fight was so lopsided because sergios movement is shot.
