Fight looked Fixed.. Respect for Cotto..

I think sergio got way too much pride to lose a fight on purpose. and to me it just looked like cotto caught martinez good when he was cold, and boxed exellent after.sergio is 39 years old, and is training way too hard to be 39 years old, so his body dont have the time to rest and build.. but cotto was on his game , so its a combination of many things. but a win is a win, and its always gonna be a reason to why a boxer lost to another, and today, cotto simply was better

 

This is why the boxing community doesn't get respect. People like you want to make excuses and not accept reality.

Theres nothing fixed about this fight, you're just fixated about Martinez's nuts and don't want to believe your favorite boxer is inferior and got out classed by the superior fighter. Cotto dominated Martinez in every way and that's the only path you can accept to take, all others are delusional.

The real Martinez was in the ring but he was facing a real Miguel Cotto and Martinez began to fold in half.

It's the same argument people use against Mayweather. Great fighters face him and when they lose, stupid fans say "It wasn't the real version, Floyd fought the shot version of him"

I still didn't rewatch the whole show but there's definitely a sense of wrong in the air, not cause Cotto earned 7 mil and Sergio earned 1,5 mil, not cause the Champ entered first, not cause the Champ was presented first. Cotto was supposed to lose, this is the common knowledge that we share in our community, the rest is the fanbase wishing well for the fighter. Martinez in normal conditions, sends natural welterweight Miguel Cotto steamrolling out of the ring or Cotto burns himself out tryin to keep up with the hard pace imposed by the taller, better conditioned, technically in better situation to dispose of the incoming bully challenger. I wouldn't get surprised. Those who say that the judges got it wrong or got corrupted, fail to believe and come to terms that the fighters themselves for finantial reasons or others also keep on selling themselves to other parties.

It wasn't fixed, but I turned out to be a handicap match.

 

The guy knew his career was over and shouldn't fight with the injury but pretended to be fine to get the payday and I don't have a problem with him getting one last payday.It was clear from round 1 his knee wasn't ok.
