Sergio has been fighting all these big guys, he forgot how to fight a small guy.

    Perhaps anyway.

I don't know why he didn't throw those uppercuts. Didn't he watch the Pacquaio fight?

Either way, good job by Cotto. His defense was tight.

Yup, fighting a smaller guy isn't always an advantage especially if you're not used to it. Sergio has almost always been the smaller fighter.

It doesn't matter how tall or short you are. If you can't bend and put weight on your knee, you can't land powerful punches or evade punches.

    Sergio has never thrown uppercuts.

He's always relied on his speed and his athleticism and it served him (and us the audience) well.

Unfortunately, when father time comes calling, the first thing it takes is your speed and athleticism.

Sergio wasn't some up and comer. He was a boxer who made it to the limelight on borrowed time. This was inevitable.

He's dazzled us time and time again and the fact that he, like everyone eventually will, got old should not diminish his accomplishments in any way.

Sergio deserves to hold his head high.

This fight had absolutely nothing to do with Sergio now knowing how to fight Cotto. It had everything to do with him not knowing how to fight at all without legs.
