Not really. The only advantage is the number of divisions Cotto won titles in, and all his titles at 140 and 147 were from vacancies over guys who weren't elite in the division.

Now given, I was critical of Trinidad's WW opposition from 95-98, but he still unified there and then unified two titles at 154. He won a belt at 160 against the 2nd best MW in a weak division. But although Joppy was nothing more than a decent titilst, what was Yuri Foreman?

Fernando Vargas in 2000 was a better fighter than Sergio Martinez.

Tito would have decapitated Cotto at 147 and 154. But Cotto has acomplished more than Tito.

Cotto fans have officially gone totally insane.

Understandable. Cotto finally gets a decent win after many years.

You should be banned for such stupidity.

You salty taco-breathe Mexican. When Cotto beats Canelo, your country's women will run to the men of PR and blow their penises like they do in NYC and Chicago. Too many betas in your Mexican race. Mexican women want the alpha-males. You don't know how many Mexican women come to me and complain about their husbands in bed. 20-35 year old broads just depressed because the Burrito boy can't satisfy her.

Cotto will delivery again, and you will come back in another state of denial and hate with a weak man excuse.

    Stay weak.

Sergio has always been overrated. He's good but all the p4p stuff is just another example that this era is poor.

It's clear from the last couple of fights that he has a declined too.

    hahaha @ the mexican race.
mexican girls understand that a PR is no different than a black so any self respecting won't entertain that idea.

Loved Cotto last nightÂ…however at MW alvarez destroys him in 6. Golovkin does the deed in 4.

Cotto needs a fighter in retreat like Martinez. Cotto gets shook very bad when he begins to be walked down (see margs, pac, clottey).

Mayweather would be a perfect fight for him. Roach + seeing that maidana fight will be big.
