Cotto is simply a notch above Sergio. Always has been.

I got that wrong I thought Martinez would stop cotto around the 8th-10th mark

I do honestly think though that Martinez must of done very little sparring in an effort to obviously save his knees it was a gamble and he lost big time

    Cotto should now fight golovkin

im a huge Miguel Cotto fan but im honestly disgraced after that

Sergio's team shouldnt have allowed him in the ring and the doctors shouldnt have cleared him to fight in that condition.

I tend to agree. I never was a "hater", I never disliked him, but I was never really all that impressed with him. At least given how he was talked about. Max Kellerman's crap about him being a "super fighter". Him being ranked near the top of the p4p ratings.

I've always seen him as a good fighter in a poor era/division.

Martinez show's all the signs of a shot/injured fighter last night. I was @ msg last night and I'm telling you Martinez was done. Both of his knee's were wrapped and he could'nt move. He was done in his last fight in Argentina were he needed some questionable scoring to get the W.

Cotto deserves all the credit though because he had the balls to go after a guy that FMJ had no interest in fighting.

I agree. Overall, prime for prime, P4P Cotto >> Martinez.

That's part of boxing. Martinez got his ass kicked by a guy who has been in more tough fights than he has.
