Never met cotto, but read he is not a approachable guy. He has made it no secret that he does not care for fans really and fights for his fam. I cant knock on him for it, he happens to be a fighter made famous, not all people are cut out for fame.

He once came to a boxing event in my city and I saw him. Im a fan of cotto but knew not to approach him by the way he carries himself.

Maybe they don't like people who talk about themselves in the third person!

    From another thread.
Different personalities. Felix was all about Puerto Rico and his fans. He was approachable. Miguel Cotto is all about boxing, but he only fights for Miguel Cotto(third person). And that's fine. When it comes to boxing in our countries, people will support with who they feel represents their country best.
Fernando vs Oscar- Mexicans felt Vargas represented the Mexican sentiment better.
    Paquiao vs Donair- same thing
Puertorican boxing fans will always appreciate Cotto for the fighter he is.
Puerto Rican boxing fans and non-boxing fans will always love Tito for the person he was in and outside the ring.
