    wrong again, Buster.

Golovkin was awarded the full WBA because he was continuously avoided.

the WBA told both Geale and Sturm that the winner had a certain amount of time in which to defend the belt. the winner, Geale, didn't want to know at the time because he was busy making a fight against a dud going by the name of Anthony Mundine.

Well then it sounds like somebody needs to become more marketable if they plan to reach lofty goals in this business.

he doesn't need to move up in weight like Cotto did over a period of years. he just wants to fight the best at HIS weight, but none of them are forthcoming.

I love when people try to be sarcastic in telling people they are wrong, when they are in fact wrong themselves.

Golovkin won a vacant interim WBA title over Milton Nunez.

His very next fight, against Nilson Tapia, was contested for the full WBA title (well, sort of, as the WBA had 2 "actual" champions).

Both of those fights were in 2010.

There was no elevating or promoting of a title because he couldn't get any fights from being avoided. No. That's a load of BS... He was hand wrapped fights that allowed him to get an (entirely bogus) full WBA title.

His minor IBO belt was won from KO'ing Lajuan Simon. However, it too was vacant.

How many offers has Dan Goossen sent?
I'm going to say this in big lettered plain English:
    Ward is on the shelf.
Otherwise he would've fought or at least had a fight lined up by now, don't you think?
Is 7 months of inactivity just a part of his master plan to get to p4p #1?:rofl
Golovkin turning down an offer to fight Ward would be big news in the boxing world. Have you heard anything about it? Yeah, me neither.
Golovkin hasn't done enough to get a shot at the lineal title in his own weight class but he will get a fight with the undisputed champ at 168?
If Golovkin is good enough to fight the #2 p4p fighter in the world, why is he not good enough to fight Miguel Cotto for the lineal title @160?:patsch
Do you people not understand how ******ed/bias you sound when you say this ****?
Again: Who(in your opinion)does Golovkin have to fight to get a shot at Miguel Cotto's lineal MW title?:rofl

i think it's quite clear that Golvkins name is well known in the boxing world. they're doing only what they can do.

why, do you have some sort of special plan in place that you would like to divulge on here? :think

please do tell. i'm all ears for your master plan.

Golovkin was only the regular Champ before Geale and Sturm squared off. he became the full Champ when Geale wouldn't fight him in the time the WBA had set. :deal

What is so hard to understand? It goes in a line. From Hopkins to Taylor to Pavlik to Martinez to Cotto.

Someone being better or more highly regarded than the lineal champ doesn't suddenly make him the lineal champ.

Tyson was cleaning out HW and had the WBA/IBF/WBC belts going into the Spinks fight, while Spinks was taking easier fights, but Spinks was still the linear champ going in.

This is up there with the 10 point must system and 9-9 rounds in the "what is so hard to understand?" category.

Did you not read my last response? Let me write this in plain English for you.

. Do you get that now?

You right Golokin have not done anything to deserve a title shot. But, since he said that he can't get anyone to fight him and the Super middleweight champion is offering him a title short. why doesn't he take the fight. Golokin said he will fight anyone between 154-175. If Golovkin takes the fight and beat Ward like Martinez beat Pavlik, Golokin will receive the same type of accolades that was given to Sergio. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT NOW?:hi:

Lineal doesn't mean you're the best. It means you are the man who beat the man.

So now your claim is that Golovkin has only been a titlist since September of 2012? So, he's only made 5 title defenses as opposed to 10, or what?

    ----

OK, I had to do some boxrec'ing to figure out the title situation.

    And you are not correct.

Golovkin has held the same WBA World title since he got it elevated between winning the interim from Nunez and defending it against Tapia in his next fight.

He has never held the WBA Super World title. Geale won that from Sturm and elected to vacate to fight Mundine in a rematch. Golovkin was never elevated to WBA Super World, he is still just WBA World champ. HOWEVER, for his next title defense, against Geale, the title will be elevated to WBA Super World.

So, yeah, you are wrong. No need for smug emoticons, it doesn't make what you said any less false.

I don't have a master plan, never have, but it would appear to my eye that far less talented boxers have become far more profitable to be in the drivers' seat of negotiations.

First of all, I think Nonito have properly addressed that issue.
