Cotto/Golovkin potentially most entertaining and explosive fight in recent memory?

If it can be made, personally I think so, given the styles of both men. People will talk about the size difference but Cottos' big, and we saw him barely flinch at shots from a good MW puncher in Martinez. Both are brave, not afraid to trade, powerful. Obviously GGG has the power advantage and possibly a stronger chin but Cotto without doubt has the skillset and power to cause him many problems. I think it could potentially be one of the most explosive exciting fights in recent times and I hope it gets made. I'd rather see this than Cotto/Canelo.

I would love to see this fight and if cotto actually stepped up and took this fight next I think he would instantly become one I my favourite fighters but I can't see him taken the fight

There's a lot easier fights out there or more money and he knows that

There is easier fights out there, but he's never been afraid to step up and take difficult fights before. You get the sense with Cotto that he's always eager to entertain the fans too and make the fights they want to see, but I guess that would lead to Canelo quicker than GGG.

I think Cotto-Alvarez is a better fight Alvarez has been shown up against a higher level of comp and also has a cosign from Golovkin himself as being "The Real Deal" through no fault of his own GGG is looking good vs average comp and Cotto could be in another stratosphere skillwise if they get into the ring a great little man can beat a good big man, and Golovkin is just good at this point not great Cotto has proven himself to be great.

Between the three I think Alvarez ends up with W's over Cotto and Golovkin within the next year

Cotto vs Golovkin should happen ... but that is to determine who should be the legitimate MW champ. Actually it wouldn't be bad, but GGG should beat Cotto very comprehensivelly. Aggressive pressure figthers one of whom is substantially bigger and (dare I say it) more technically skilled.

Kovalev vs Stevenson is the most exciting fight that could be made cos it's a real maybe fight - I ain't gonna pretend that I don't favour Kovalev, but no one can say that Kovalev couldn't be finished by one of Stevenson's counter lefts - which is really the point. This is a fight that could go either way - whereas Cotto just doesn't beat Golovkin.

Cotto the 4 divison world champion that just won over the lineal Middleweight champion needs to step up to the paper champion, come on now. I know Golovkin is good but lets not get ahead of ourselves here.

Cotto should have no problem dealing with a "paper champion" then, right?
Golovkin isn't going to be wearing leg braces in the ring like young Forrest Gump.

Cotto is getting way too much credit for beating a physically shot Martinez. GGG would destroy Cotto.

I'm a fan of both fighters but I really don't want to see this fight for Cotto's sake.

Great fight!! I think Cotto-Canelo would be too!

IMO i would want to see Cotto-Canelo first. Thats a mega fight. GGG should try to grab Quillien's and Solimans title so he can fight the winner for undisputed

I don't know why they'd need a CW. If they'd have one it'd benefit Cotto more than Canelo as he's actually the smaller of the two.

Same **** people was saying about the Martinez fight :patsch:patsch

Cotto is a machine and GGG has never fought anybody like him. I love GGG and he hits hard but i dont think he'll be able to handle Cotto. I say Cotto by KO
