Took more rounds off JC than Hopkins did by a long margin yet JC gets more credit for this win than he does over a 28 year old, prime, undefeated and unified champion? Americans are a strange group of people.

Kessler and Eubank are still Calzaghe's best wins.

Americans are as biased as anyone else. But I agree Kessler was Calzaghe's best win/performance.

I agree, Kessler knocked the hell out of JC, I like Kessler a lot, but he lacks experience I think against better fighters.
This wasnt a great win for JC......tough and respected yes, but BH aint what we was.....

The Kessler fight was a much tougher one for Joe, although he won thaty clearly as well.

Hopkins had less to work with physically than Kessler did, but his experience and ring smarts made up for it.

No, I don't think he's under-rated. By some, maybe. But also perhaps over-rated, by others.

    By the way,

Calzaghe beat Kessler by 4 points on my card (116-112)

Calzaghe beat Hopkins by 2 points on my card (115-113)

I still think Eubank is JC's best win. The jump in class was frightening and he came out with the win.

A 43 year old Hopkins put Calzaghe on his ass in the very 1st round.. Something a 28 year old prime undeafeated unified champion couldnt do :)

You are an idiot! Kessler is protected because he has never fought in the US!

(Joking. He's fought Joe in Wales, Mundine in Australia, kicked the living sh*t out of Andrade a future world champion, KO'd Beyer easily and landed more punches on Calzaghe than Hopkins did.)

It's not like it was a devastating shot. It was a well timed counter punch that resulted in a flash knockdown. I was more impressed with Kessler's performance against Calzaghe than I was Hopkins'. Bernard clinched and headbutted as much as he punched.

Please.. you butthurt Euros know no limitations when it comes to making excuses for one of your fighters. Hopkins took certain rounds cleanly from Calzaghe, as well as frustrating the hell out of him.

Kessler was merely a difficult jigsaw puzzle that took Calzaghe a little time to figure out. Hopkins on the other hand was like Calzaghe trying to fight out of quicksand. But I do think Kessler is underrated.. he's a very good fighter.

Calz deserves FAR more credit for the Kessler win, where he performed FAR better and overcame more adversity than he did tonight.

If Kessler was less one-dimensional he'd own Calzaghe in a rematch. I think he has better physical tools than Calzaghe but he's less intelligent than Calzaghe

Smother him with...hugs and kisses right? Surely you don't mean punches? :blood
