The question is can Canelo effectively aggress against Lara? I'm not saying he cant, but stylistically this is a difficult matchup.

Mayweather showed how limited Canelo is.

 

I agree that Canelo has improved quite a bit since the Gomez fight, but I still believe Lara is going to give him problems...assuming, of course, that he isn't covering up any health issues that may have a direct impact on the outcome(cough). The Cuban will have every advantage except chin, power and the crowd...assuming , again, that everything is on the up and up, but I have no reason to believe that Lara is anything but an honorable fighter who will do his best to peak on fight night and win.

 

im so happy canelo took this fight to. legitimately he is the only one left in the divsion that people say has a chance against lara. so if he wins you cannot say he is protected etc, he will become undisputed (not including floyd who is a clear 147 fighter and prob wont come up unless a big pay day arises).

if slow ass angulo could get to lara i think canelo can finish him, much more funamentally strong then angulo and throws with great combinations, i think maybe an accumulation stoppage after 1 or 2 knockdowns late in the fight prob chuck a lazy 40 or 50 bucks on round 10

 

but a much more limited angulo got to lara and made it very competitive. :huh

Angulo is a pressure fighter with stamina. Canelo is not.

Canelo needs to learn how to cut the ring off and improve his stamina.Maybe,then he has a shot at beating
Lara.

Canelo couldn't even do that with southpaw Trout and Lara is a far better Boxer with more Power, Speed and counter-punching. Canelo doesn'e throw 100 punches a round like Angulo or if he did he would be gassed after the first round and people forget Lara has heart, which is something Canelo has yet to show.

When Canelo fought Mayweather and Trout he got tagged causing him to be more cautious and his punch-rate dropped as the rounds went on. Canelo needs an opponent to stand there for him to look good against and against movers like Trout and Mayweather he didn't throw as many punches and gassed from trying to keep up with the movement.

I see Lara by UD and Canelo complaining that he ran after the fight.
