So they are setting up the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight,,... And that's if Pacquiao could dominate Maidana..... I wonder.
intentionally left Floyd out of this list although the possibilities are endless but i try to stay realistic Kieth Thurman is a strong candidate at Welterweight and considering hes a full fledged American it is surprising at how impressed I am with him . . . . . that being said he still hasnt been tested to the point where he has shown us where his limitations are (excluding a few cracks in his game that some fighters have had mediocre success at exploiting until they were inevitably stopped) Because of that Thurman needs a big name opponent in the welterweight rankings as he has beaten ever gatekeeper and journeyman along the way and fighting anyone who is not in the top 10 is going to be considered a step back as Julio Diaz was after the Soto Karass fight. Amir Khan Shawn Porter Timothy Bradley Kell Brook Marcos Maidana Ruslan Provodnikov Danny Garcia Lucas Matthysse Those are the only people who Thurman can fight to further his career, the best being Porter due to him being the only person outside May/Pac to hold a belt at 147. given there might be another fighter who comes up that catches the public eye (most noteably Devon Alexander) but for now no one else has the momentum needed for him to earn a title shot. we can only wait and see
Maidana is tailor made for Pac. I thought by now people would realize this? I guess lots of people DKSAB.
Is this one going to be called a "cherrypick" too. Mayweather was lambasted for fighting Maidana...will Pac get the same treatment/
Mayweather already beat him. But apparently that didnt mean anything because Maidana is only a "C level fighter" and was a "Crude slugger" who gave Mayweather a competitive fight.
