What this forum was spewing at the time:

    Yuri Foreman-Cotto shot, too small.

Margarito-Cotto shot. Margs always will have his number.

    Martinez-Cotto shot, too small.

"marg wanted to continue"- thats cuz hes an idiot.....there was nothing margs was going to do in what could have been the remainder of that fight....he was getting his **** pushed in real hard....nothing was going to change had they let him continue except the possibility of going blind......that was a mercy stoppage and a smart one.....if cotto had fought the way he did in that fight the last 6 rounds of the first one the same **** woulda happened.....**** pushed in by shane, pac, cotto etc

lol why don't we closely examine Sergio Martinez's record. He never beat an elite fighter in his career yet somehow he magically became one.

it wasn't his fault foreman was injured. a lot of ppl picked foreman to win that.

    he stopped mayorga.

he beat margarito almost every round.

he lost to mayweather 7-5 and gave him his toughest fight of his career.

he lost to a very good austin trout. 10-2

he beat a guy very convincingly who fought even with trout imo in rodriguez.

even though we knew sm had bad knees...no one was picking cotto by blow out.

looking at the list, he's been matched well. that's what arum does.

u need to get ur grip..off cottos nuts. cotto at this point in his career is overrated. people were hyping the **** out of him after he beat that skeleton of rodriguez now he beat up a one legged martinez, something i saw coming a mile away. ur already making excuses for cotto if he gets beat up by canelo, fair enough, i coulda told u 2 years ago that cotto was shot.

    sergio martinez = derrick rose.

make no mistake about it...cotto has plenty left. a fight with canelo would be tough for both. i'd favor canelo...but not by much. you can't discount cotto's accomplishments. he's doing what he's supposed to do with the opposition that's put in front of him. his losses are respectable ones. he's not ducked anyone. why all the hate?

Everything he said is true and nobody is over-rating or hyping the **** out of Cotto. Most people admit he's not really the best in any division right now.

cotto does not deserve all this hype. he has been overrated for a minute. ever since he left the ring crying after he lost fair and square to mayweather is when i lost all respect for him, then he did the same thing after losing to trout.

So he doesn't like to lose. That fight with Mayweather didn't make him seem over-rated to me.
