This is the fight I hope gets made!!! Froch is bigger then GGG & is by far GGG toughest opponent... a proven boxer Hope we see it 2014
froch certainly showed in the bute fight what can happen to over-hyped fighters who haven't proven themselves yet
What if Froch is the guy who GGG "proves"(seriously, what is it with this ****?atsch)himself against? Resumes don't get in the ring. Fighters get in the ring
GGG wants no part of froch only to have Froch Lucien Bute his ****** Ass and end the hype train. Froch TKO 6
Who hypes GGG? The ones who think he is hyped! Statistically, majority of posts here on ESB are made by those who think he is overhyped and will get exposed soon. Jump off this hype train!
Height GGG - 5'11, Froch - 6'1. Both Froch and GGG have 24' from armpit to the fingertips. On a fight night GGG - 170lbs and Froch - 172/3lbs. Froch is a bigger guy but not by a big margin at all.
Froch though has fought at Super Middleweight his whole career though, while he may not weigh much more than GGG he is used to heavier guys and hasn't shown to lack strength at the weight. Favour GGG in a competitive fight, but Froch has beat many guys I would consider more skilled than him such Kessler, Taylor, Dirrell, Bute, Groves and Pascal, So a Froch win wouldn't be a surprise he may look awkward but he has beat many great fighters.
Froch just gets hit too much. He keeps his left hand way too low, and somehow people haven't caught on to the massively telegraphed, squared-up right hand he throws single-punched from the hip. If GGG carried his power to 168 I'd favour him to stop Carl.
I like froch but he's getting way too much hype for knocking out some uk bum that gennady would have killed in two rounds.
I'd have Froch as a clear favourite. He's far more proven and would be a big step up in class and weight for Golovkin. Yes Golovkin's power is very impressive and Froch is very easy to hit but people said the same thing prior to the AA fight and look what happened there. Golovkin is also pretty easy to hit and Froch is the biggest puncher Golovkin will have ever faced as well. If it gets into a war of attrition with both landing and taking big shots it won't go well for Golovkin. Froch is as durable as it gets, he may take everything Golovkin can throw at him, smile and punch right back. Froch for all his technical flaws and lack of speed is still the best pure boxer Golovkin will have faced. I could see the long Froch jab being key and when Golovkin does get past it he may have an opponent who won't be fazed by his power and hit right back. I'd love to see this fight, I'll be happy for whoever wins as both are exciting fighters and good for the sport. But I still think Froch has too much for Golovkin based upon what we have seen of Golovkin so far.
