My thoughts exactly= If he fought Pavlik, as most seem to want, who would change weight??,,,and why go back to 168, when Dawson is on the prowl

Pavlik- I'd like to see him stay and rule at Middleweight for a while, its good for boxing if he maintains an undefeated record and cleans out an entire division.

Tarver- I don't really see any point in this fight, Calzaghe would win a clear UD. It would be a boring fight as well.

Jones- This fight seems to make the most sense from Calzaghe's stand point.. this is the biggest payday of his career most likely and almost a guaranteed victory + another legend on his resume adding to his legacy.

Dawson- This guy is considered the young up and coming star of the Light Heavyweight division. To beat a young guy like Dawson whos trying to make a name for himself and retire would be a good move for calzaghe although he would make more with fighting jones.

Personally I'd like to see him fight Dawson but most likely he'll end up fighting Jones or Jermain Taylor

Tarver-Dawson winner would be the best fight.

But Roy Jones jr. would probably make him a little more money and a little more fame (and redemption in a way- they could've fought years ago).

He'll probably take Roy. I don't think Pavlik would be a good one, though. Pavlik is a Middleweight, and Joe JUST moved up.

ANd glen Johnson? He needs to get a win under his belt. Otherwise big names will dodge him. Sad, considering his great effort against Dawson.

Roy Jones, it will be great for him to have victories over Jones and Bernard on his resume, also if he fights Pavlik and wins, which is a high probability, there is no doubt that his legacy will be better known to the fans.

I think Bernard should screw Calzaghe and sign to fight Jones in a Rematch that should have happened years ago. i bet the money would be about the same. Every other guy other then Tarver would give Calzaghe a good test. Hopkins should take away his easy payday for one of this own.

    Hopkins TKO 9

Lucian Bute, but it will not happen. He is to dangerous for Calzaghe.

Chad Dawson--still the hardest fight for Joe at 175 or below.

For some reason, I don't want to see Calzaghe vs Pavlik.

And CERTAINLY not Jones vs Calzaghe.

    :conf

    Seems I'm out-numbered.

    My vote goes for Dawson.

Jones is easily the choice that makes most sense and seems plausible.

    1. Roy Jones (the tough one)
    2. Pavlik (the easy one)
    3. Well-deserved retirement

RJJ and retire with a 46-0 record, his brain intact and a good pension fund.
