On a side note, I thought it was pure class that Diaz, cotto's former trainer said he could do better against floyd with roach

The guy is a class act
The interview is over at the "scene"

    *****-**** logic:

    Floyd already knocked him out

Infact floyd "unshot" cotto made him "undefeated" and prime

Also floyd fought without movement to "give the fans what they wanted - his blood pouring and tearful eyes"

Floyd or his team have often stated his fight night weight, but I can't recall the last time he stepped on the HBO (or Showtime) scales to back it up.

Roach got Arizas shake recipe to make Cotto's jaw and knees stronger.

First of all, Cotto was competitive for all 12 rounds but only managed to win 3 of them..... Cotto would do better in the rematch.....

Cotto probably would top his last showing against Floyd. But, Floyd would likely top his last showing against Cotto. So, I'm not sure it would be any closer of a match.

Na Floyd won't top his last performance. His best days are behind him. Bet that Mayweather never fights Cotto again.

He isn't prime. But, I think he is capable of fighting a smarter fight, staying off the ropes, specifically.

I really think that Cotto forced him there/his legs aren't what they used to be so he can't move as much. Floyd wouldn't have sat on the ropes and taken punishment if he didn't have to. His legs are even more far gone now as signified by the fact that slow as molasses Maidana was able to stay on him for much of their fight.

I don't really think so. He's known to fight off the ropes, willingly, at times. He probably does it to catch a breather and let his opponents swing and miss a lot, and tire themselves. Also, he gets in quite a bit of body work there. Seems methodical for the most part. But, in my opinion it's not the most effective strategy for him.

He did the same at points in the fights against Oscar, Hatton, Baldomir, Ortiz, Canelo and Maidana. Yes, he was more viscous in his 130 days, but, he was also a bigger puncher at that weight.

While his legs aren't prime, and most guys he fights are bigger and probably stronger than him, I think he could keep the fight in the center of the ring more often than not.
