ya probably.....but it prob wouldnt have come off anyway...as pavlik would have just cut his hand open punching through a window of a youngstown dive bar anyway

 

that fight was actually signed and ready to go....

then floyd was left without a big fight because he had been negotiating the pac fight....that was really all floyd was focused on and thought it was gonna come off....then pac/arum walked to fight clottey....floyd was left hanging....so the earthquake in haiti happened and it was the perfect storm for haymon to cancel the fight and let floyd have shane.....berto still could have fought(guys like garcon with the colts didnt sit out the superbowl because of it)...im guessing he took a few hundred thousdand from floyd/haymon to cancel it .....floyd/shane was much bigger

I wouldn't call it a superfight or anything, but it would have been interesting to see how Holy dealt with the tallness of Akinwande.

 

Paul Williams also had the Pavlik fight get cancelled.

I thought this was a FOTY candidate on paper. Was pretty bummed out when it got cancelled.
