    here's why....

ratings don't affect what bob gets paid.....

it impacts hbo, the fighters but bob as a promoter makes more money when he's promoting the whole show vs. co-promoting with gbp....

oscar seems to genuinely want to make the best fights and work with bob.... but bob's a greedy j-word.....

the whole... i want to work with oscar, is pure boxing politics... it pleases hbo and the fans.... because they think they're surely going to get better match-ups but deep down...

bob's thinking, bradley vs pac iii.... or marquez vs. pac 5... or cotto vs bradley..... or some dumb **** that nobody wants to see.

If you ever decide to go into business, seek experienced, professional advice.

Ratings do matter. Why would HBO want to buy fights that no one will want to see? They obviously pay more for fights that will receive higher ratings. As a result, Bob makes more money that way. :hi:

Everybody is greedy, not just Arum.

Before you cast judgements though, why don't you wait and see if he'll work with GBP?

:lol: HBO's fights generate twice as many viewers as showtime's, but yet they are "in a terrible position"?

    Bullsh*t.

HBO has a nice fight schedule and they're showing a lot of up new stars. Showtime has one fight in Alvarez/Lara. HBO fights also have 50%+ more viewers than Showtime fights.

They're in an great position to take advantage of all the drama that's going on at Showtime/Golden Boy. And they're doing it by putting on fights.

while i cant say 100 percent what the OP said is definitley true.......if he was right...it wouldnt suprise me

when floyd wanted oscar...he said "ill be working for such a small percentage its not even worth it"...and told floyd its not gonna happen with him

when the best fight, at the time, was for pac to fight shane mosley...who was coming off a big win....was the man at 147...he went for cotto because cotto was a better sell and he had the fight to himself...

when it came time to make a donaire/mares fight bob told golden boy that he should control the fight and gb should step aside because donaire was a much bigger draw that made more money than mares has ever made...bob wanted to pay them a small step aside fee and control the whole promotion(this pissed schaefer off big time...and spurned the same type of offer to manny later on)...

when it comes down to it...theres TR and GB....sure bob can go make a fight with sergio and dibella cause at the end of the day bob is gonna have lou by the balls.....gb was not a company he could do that to

the writing was on the wall for bob when schaefer was in charge...he was nearly on the verge of getting his ass handed to him.......and then there was a weakness in oscar to exploit...his whole 12 step reconciliation bull****.....now oscar wants to play nice and it broke his company the fuk up.....it plays right into trs hands......

well find out how serious bob is/was about this....but i wouldnt be suprised if it was a scam to start a war inside golden boy....hes tore a rival and his top competitor up(dont care what u say about how easily schaefer and co. can be replaced...it wont be that easy and gb may lose talent)....i could still see bob being difficult to work with or trying to take advantage of new people in charge at gb

Read it again, then use your small mind to think.
There is nothing Racist in his post, unless of course you are foolish enough to actually believe the J-word is really comprised of one or more race, which is akin to calling Masons, a race.

If you haven't guessed, he's still not interested in working with the tranny loving snake, Al Haymon. Khan, Porter, Thurman, and like 90% of the welterweight/light welterweight line-up are supposedly Haymon boxers.

I'm not sure about Garcia, but he already has a soft-touch scheduled.

While I agree that the thread starter is at fault, Judaism is a religion not a race.
