I like Garcia and he does fight well

But the true champion who didn't get the decision is Herrera

And after that performance from Garcia, I would say even khan is a better fight right now.

Sure it will be sold on lineal vs lineal champ etc etc but reality is Garcia didn't do too well last fight and got the decision

But all the best to him and hope he does well. He seems like a nice guy

All of you are underestimating Garcia. Garcia is world class and a tougher fight than Pacquiao due to the age difference. I'm not confident that Floyd would win against Garcia due to the age difference.

Pac may be older and have more mileage on him, but Garcia's more "damaged goods". He's just not the same after the Lucas fight.

Thanks for the insider info man.

Garica vs Floyd makes for a great fight if you're a 'boxing' fan. Garcia can actually box in a technical aspect.

Why are people saying Garcia is damaged goods lol? He's had one fight since Matthyse which he lost but not because he's damaged goods. It was a boring clash of styles which didn't favour Garcia and he just got outboxed (jabbed) for 12 rounds.

I guarantee, if you throw him in with another come-forward fighter at 140 then he'll impress like he usually does.

The Floyd fight would be good at 140 but that won't happen. 147 is where it's gonna take place and it'll likely be a boring fight. Floyd should be fighting Maidana again then go for the winner of the Canelo/Lara/Cotto trio after, or maybe Khan if he impresses in his next fight. Garcia lost stock in his last fight and needs to test the waters at 147 before a Floyd fight.

There's another thread where Freddie Roach says 'we Team Pacquiao want Danny Garcia next' everybody commenting that's a good tough fight for Manny. Floyd says I want Garcia next and it's called a cherrypick, I guess one guy is perceived to be at a much higher level, guess which one it is?

No matter who Mayweather fights or is proposed to fight, you're always going to have a contingent of posters who claim it's a cherry pick and a meaningless fight. Mayweather is 37 and still fighting nothing but championship caliber fighters, and he's currently doing so across two divisions. That's still not good enough for some people.

This is actually a problem in general though in boxing, where fighters are routinely over criticized for their level of opposition. Boxing is a very difficult sport. Outside of a fixed fight, there are no guarantees. It's a sport where both a guys are trying to hurt each other, and the winner can be determined by 3 people scoring with a highly subjective scoring system. You have to look no further than last nights fight to see what I'm talking about.

Garcia lost to Herrera, enough said. Fraud Mayweather is fraud. Shame on those who back him up.

Common...I don't take anything away from Garcia but he is not in the same league than Mayweather. Mayweather is all wrong for him and the cherry picking champ knows it.

Ya I don't get why people are saying he's ruined. Herreras like king Carlos, they are awkward and no one looks good against them. This is an ok matchup, I much rather him fight Bradley though.
