It's called frustration. Algeri got up from hellacious shots, composed himself and proceeded to box (which is the name of the game). It's not hard to understand. Heavy hands don't ensure victory. This is something that has been proven time and again.

Agreed. Whether you scored for Provo or Algieri, at the very least some credit should be given to Algieri for not panicking, abandoning his gameplan and for toughing it for the entire duration of the fight with that eye. And yes, he did some good work in there, in many facets of the game.

Ruslan was exposed last night has a weak World Champion, his rep is built on the night Timmy went toe to toe with him, if Timmy had boxed him that night he would have Won every round.

Frustration set it for Ruslan after 8 rounds or so. He thought he was gonna get him.out if there but Algieri schooled him. Lol at him calling Algeiri a "runner" yea, let me stand right in front of you so you can look really good. He beat him handily, if not for that 3 point 1st round it would have been 117-109 or so.

They should have made the Rios fight...more his style and if he had beat Rios it looks like a bigger win than if he had beaten Algieri

    dude whats your point?

not every guy is going to hit like george forman.

look at pernell whitaker and paulie malignaggi. it has nothing to do with different boxing systems. lebron james is powerful, kobe is quick so what.

the punches were effective bc they landed cleanly and repeatedly.

Imagine what Marquez would have done to him with the boxing skills + power.

He said in the postfight that it was a hard matchup for him stylewise. He was clearly frustrated by not being able to pin Algieri down and go to work on him.

Either that or not enough raw moose liver.
