I bet on Algieri to win I knew his style was horrible for prov but I still think he has a chance against Danny and I'm a big Garcia fan.

 

I said all along that Provodnikov was limited, and that Garcia and Floyd would both beat him.

Man, it sure feels good to be right.

 

i threw a unit on algieri by decision....way better line...knew it was the only way he was going to win...his ml was like in the +5-6 range...got a decision at over 9

 

People love to overrate punchers I have no idea why? Power can be neutralized with a good ring iq. How many times do we have to see this?

 

Prov was never unbeatable. Bradley and Herrera showed that. He can be outboxed but you have to be very tough to do it for 12 rounds. I underestimated Algerie more than overrated Provodnikov, I thought Prov would get the KO eventually as he breaks him down and that Algerie's chin was suspect. Well 2 KD's on the first round shows that Prov's power was definitely there, Algerie was just pretty resilient.

Because power is far too attractive(especially with highlights, promos...etc) to the general fan.
